if arabic brides wear western wedding dresses, then why do we desis always get picked on for wearing our red/colorful dresses, or having rasams, or hell having any type of fun on our weddingS, as if we're trying to emulate hindus etc?

I m arabic decent and i wore arabian fasateen ( foustan) in my wedding, it is kind of crazy in a good way because you need to have so many of them and you keep changing all night, i also wore Paki dresses since my husband is Paki, everyone fall in love with my maroon golden dress. I love paki dresses more:)

Oh yes, whenever my cousins hear that i am coming to visit the first thing they ask is paki dresses and jewlery, we looove the jewlery and the clothes they are just amazing.
