Re: ~ Arabic lessons..

^ good point.

there are many different dialects of arabic....for instance often times.....the Lebs can't understand Egyptians and vice versa.

Re: ~ Arabic lessons..

Well not only Labanese but most of Saudis cannot understand Egyptians when they speak in their dialect.

italqaak??
maybe u need to correct this

Im giving basic lessons.. upon cricketplayers request :) Putting it in "roman" makes the dialects difficult.

Aa'mal al khair wa warmiha fil bah'ar = Do good and throw it into the sea

Re: ~ Arabic lessons..

^ wa armiha

Re: ~ Arabic lessons..

^ :hehe: @ corrections

was thinking the same thing…but didnt correct it cuz its nit-picking

Once again it's an issue of roman arabic.. u spell it wa armiha I spell it warmiha.. the word and pronounciation is the same.

Re: ~ Arabic lessons..

if u spell it warmiha then u have to get rid of the "wa" before it....
otherwise u cannot have a reason to a word which starts with "alif" with a "w"....

Re: ~ Arabic lessons..

^ correct....

not only that but in some cases you change the meaning all together. so spelling whether in arabic or english transliteration does make a difference.

The people here will still read it as warmiha..

I recently found out that Ma'salamah (with peace) is a traditional Islamic way of saying farewell so that makes it Islamic.
