~ Arabic lessons..

I’m addressing my fellow friends and not anyone else here, Masalamah is a word for “bye” in Arabic.. and not any “islamic” word!

Someone on GS posted on another thread that I use the word "Masalamah" so people can think of me as pious etc..not that I really care but it had to be spelt out that Masalamah is an arabic word for "bye"

So use bye then.

Masalama means "with peace" it's an arabic word that people (mostly arabs) use when parting ways.

You are correct...it is not an 'islamic' word and is used by muslims and non-muslims alike.

Hareem, my mother tongue is arabic.. so I shall stick to Masalamah!
