From your prospective the answer should be yes and no. Deobandis have been left half here and half there, that much should be clear to all.
From my prospective deobandis are not Ahle Sunnat wal Jamaat at all. I have researched a few issues on this myself.
Some how or another those who go through the tj system eventually identify themselves as deobandi.
Some people don’t even use the word deobandi at all, it is known purely as tablighi jamaat
