if two families agree then, there shouldnt be a problem.
if the castes are similar, it helps the marriage families to migle with ease, just like if they are from same background there are similar common values and customs.
mostly its issue for not the immediate family members but chacha, mama etc. and they get annoyed for no reason, sometime there is their own interests as well when they want the bride or groom to be married to their own son/daughter or choice.
like Aisha mentioned, sometime its also mission to work out such marriages in long run and un necessary hick ups. with all odds its really down to the couple and two families, if they are ok then its all fine.
