wy is this happening when i try to play a sound file on my home computer?

Are you updated with latest Java Runtime environment at home computer?
Your highspeed internet is working at the optimum speed, right?
Try cleaning the Java Cach (temp. files) from Java Control Panel [Look in Computer Control Panel]...
The files are working fine as far as I can see....
If there is something else to be checked, whoever knows it, please, post here.

so you are suggesting that you do like java applets that is you want to have it on your computer?
ps. there are many things we dont like, but still they end up becoming important part of our life.

When a recording is loaded GS applet tries to configure the audio device for the sample rate that matches the file. If it cannot play at that rate then it chooses the closest rate.
Evidently for some users, the audio card does not support any sample rate. They may have their audio card installed incorrectly.
Aisha are you able to play other audio on your PC? Anyhow please do the following below:
