Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
Sri Lanka 111/3 (25.1 overs).
Upul Tharanga out for 73.
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
If SL can get 250 I think they stand a decent chance due to them having Murali, Malinga and Vaas in their bowling attack. Not to mention other part time slow bowlers.
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
Sri Lanka 125/3
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
SL 129-3 after 29 Overs
Well if wickets in hand they could go well past 250 which to me looks like a good total considering SL will bowl on a spinner firendly wicket
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
^ With top 3 gone, and SL not having an Inzi or Afridi to come late in the order, I would think its not going to be all that easy getting past 250.
Lets see.
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
Sri Lanka 129/3 (30.0 overs).
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
Sri Lanka 142/3 (33 ovvers)
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
Big big 6 by Chamara .... Afridi like shot
SL 152-2 after 34 Overs
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
Chamara gone on 21 LBW off Bond (though a big inside edge)
SL 152-4 after 34.3 Overs
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
Holding asking someone to test what actually Koertzen is getting to listen through his earpeace (which is supposed to enhance the noise from the stump mic.)
SL 160-4 after 36.2 Overs
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
160-4 off 36.1
NZ it appears are taking control of things here. SLA need to press on now but they can't also afford to lose quick wickets. 275+ should be their target

^ Also tell them to check the umps eyes and have the ump walk a straight line for 5 yards. Lets make sure they are up to it..
:D

or atleast 250. Anything lower than that will require some unimaginative batting from NZ and superb bowling from SL for it to go in SLs favor.
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
SL 173-4 after 38 Overs
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
Jaywardena is Playing a Captain's inning..kept on taking singles, just rotated the dtrike while Thranga was playing, hit his first boundry on 48th ball he faced, now he is starting to open up
I am surprise he is on 4th spot at contenders for POT award. I think he has held SL team together throughout the tournament and should be #2 or 1 in that list. Most certainly he has done better work than Mcgrath who is on #1 on that list
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
“I was at matches early in the event where there was a lot of noise.” Malcolm Speed. “Let’s concentrate on watching the cricket shall we?”
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
^ is speed on speed...?
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
