A great win by Sri Lanka, lead by their captain Mahela Jayawardene who played a wonderful and ‘winning innings’.

Its a surprise to see Fleming stepping down, may be he wants to give responsability to some one else.

Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
I think regardless of whether they bat first or second, they have peaked at such a crucial stage of the tournament, that they won’t lose easily.
Unlike NZ who took a kick hands down in their keisters, SL won’t be bending over that much.
Win or loose, they have given the asian spirit a new meaning. They are really Sril Lankan Lions in my book. Aussies can hop as much as they want. SL will be entering this final as joint favorites! 100% :k:
Re: April 24, 1st Semi Final - New Zealand v Sri Lanka at Sabina Park, Jamaica
I was watching the highlights last night and Jayasuriya's facial expression on getting bowled was like 'I did n't sight the ball.' He flicked across the line to a ball pitching outside off & missed it completely and seemed baffled and bemused by Franklin's pace.

I still want South Africa to win the world cup.
But after seeing Australia, they are the more deserving champions.
Sri Lanka bowling attack may be strong, but Australia has enough deadly batsmen down to 5-6 of their line up that they pile up a huge total. It won't collapse like New Zealand did.
Although Murli and the gang may take out 3-4, Australia will prevail

Yes Jayasuriyah has not been in the best of form in the Cup.
Another Candidate for retirement I would say....? :D
