Joke aside, pedophilia is a curse that our society suffers from. When it is combined with homosexuality, it adds on to the ugliness.

Reason I am discussing it in Life that many times, minors face such ugliness from the members of their own families. Older cousins, uncles and what not.

Situation is more grim when the approach is from the minor’s side. In the case of adult luring a minor, its usually an adult guy vs a minor girl (or a boy) .. but I’ve seen young girls in early or pre-teen ages, trying to flirt with an adult male.
Have you seen this in our society? Is there a cure? Could religion be the answer?

Oprah did a 3 part series on the mind set of these criminals. It's sad to see how manipulative and calculating they are. It's an addiction to them.

One actually said that he realizes now that he has taken away from everyone that he molested what they could have been in life.

It's sad.

But my question is a 2 fold. I've seen young girls flirting with their older cousins of friends of their older brothers. What about that side of the coin?

TLK, the definition of a paedophile is as follows:

A person who is sexually attracted to children

So girls flirting with older boys or vice versa is not paedophilia

Its when girls start fantasizing about younger boys and vice versa that it gets sickening.

It doesn't matter what the child does or does not do. It is the responsibility of the ADULT to control the situation.

I truly have never seen younger girls flirting with someone drastically older then them. However, it is very much possible. This is why in Islam opposite genders are not to be alone in a room together. It can only lead to a negative end. But if there is flirting then that older man should be smart enough to stay away or ignore not use that opportunity to use her. Same goes for younger boy flirting with older women.

But can the girl really be that naive to not know what her flirting behavior can lead to? She knows she’s flirting, so it’s intentional and she wants the attention from the older guy… there’s always the possibility that the attention can be harmful :hmmm:

They don't act like that infront of their parents obviously. The more parents tell them to stay away from boys, and enforce segregation - they more crazy they are.

Well, a 12 yrs old girl is really a kid, so yes she can be that naive.
