i am going thru this phase these days..and i get so upset at times.. i feel the good period of my life is going to end in a few days and i dunno what is next…

Yes when I was getting married I had the feeling that this is the end of my independent life. I had many many fears and all of them came true and I experienced worse than I expected.
What did I do to overcome them ? nothing.......I compromised with almost everything.
I don't think you can do anything to overcome your apprehensions. They will themselves disappear once you start enjoying your married life and when you start experiencing true happiness with your better half.

I'm felling exactly the same as neha!! Getting married in about 2 months.. I have so many fears and uncertainities, so i try to keep my mind off them by ordering dresses and booking photographers, planning honeymoon and what not. I have spent all the money i had on preps , booked two photographers although i dont need two. Just so i can keep planning and divert my mind. My husband seems to be nice and caring but still im scared. What if he tried to put an end to the life i live, what if i couldnt cope up with the responsibilities, what if he didnt love me as much as i would want to be loved.. All the stupid things keeps circling me. Very hard to stay positive, but yes im hopeful that i'll have a happy married life inshallah.

You know these apprehensions and fears are what make us girl take everything negative coming from our in-laws. Don’t think like that… be excited, be positive… its a new chapter in your lives :D. Don’t expect the worst unless you actually experience it, and don’t take everything negative… start your married lives with positive thinking. InshaAllah everything will work out well after marriage 
I had my fears but I kept them aside, was always positive, compromised on little silly things that I could easily compromise on, never took anything negative that came from my in-laws and MashaAllah I have a good married life. Just one word of advice, don’t keep your expectations high… expectations hee garbar karti hain… take things as they come, keep a saaf neeyat and give it your best shot… it will all work out, inshaAllah

Think about good things, like hot chocolate on your body .. and red vino .. .. or ice cream .. and licking.. Enough for the chicks to forget about independent life.

That was a very good advice.. yea i do try not to think about anything by keeping myself busy as i said. I will inshallah be compromising as much as i can, and my in laws are very nice and sweet too. I keep my fingers crossed for a happy life ahead.

I was never concerned about my independence, more about the responsibilities. But do it with a good attitude and positive expectations. InshaAllah, you'll have a great marriage!
