I think the whole thing is fake.
Amreeka or India would be last non-muslim country on the planet to do such a thing.
They already have a situation on hands regarding muslims.
tsk tsk...stupid rumours...some ppl really have nothign better to do, to come up with stupid stuff like this :p
stupid rumors are one thing but what really scares me is all these stupid people that dont fact check before they go posting around blatant hoaxes. ironically enough the people that fall for these jokes are the same people who claim to be die hard "muslims".
Even if it is a bar who cares ?
If people start performing hajj there instead of real Mecca then it can be a thing for concern.
But sometimes people tolerate that kind of idiotic behavior too if it is happening in a Muslim country.
During the week of Eid a Milad Un Nabi I have seen with my own eyes that people used to display cardboard replicas of Khana a Kaba and Masjid a Nabwi in the the greenbelt of world famous Lalu Khait/Liaqat a Bad Karachi. Nobody ever had an issue with that. I do not know if it is done now too.
this is neither a bar nor made against islam. I have seen this.the Apple computer company had designed a large cube of glass that was going to be its flagship store. for once they were going to be selling computers and ipods there and not any wine or anything. before spreading any rumors, please google it whether it is true or not. but since you did not do i have and here is what i have come up with
Didn't Apple come out with a cube form factor personal computer several years ago? Perhaps they modelled the store after that and by coincidence / or design thought up the mecca name.
terms like bazaar, mecca have acquired a certain popular meaning over several decades and should not be given religious significance anymore.
This happens for all - eg: Boston brahmins, paria etc
