what do u need it for? can Paint Shop Pro be useful to you? it's much cheaper and provides the same features..
or go Gimp.. there was a recent update to it.. should be good..

hhmmmmmmmmmmmm... i dont like paint shop prop SINCE it came out.. (version 1.2 something) reason being the interface and paint-brush style.. anyway.. the resizing quality of adobe apps is JUST not matchable... and i do a LOT of resizing...
i guess i would have to look into elements 3.0 then..

well Photoshop is extremely bloated.. u may need some functions and not use the rest.. but still have to pay like $600 for it!!! PSP has grown well, is fully functional and is still around $100 i think.. i'm very sure it's resizing algorithms aren't any worse.. plus there are simple standalone utilities that would do resizing if u're concerned.

it all comes down to the quality of it ... bicubical or even linear resizing in adobe apps is just amazing ..
i'm talking about resizing a desktop, cropping important stuff out, into like 50x50 area..
(for example this avatar of mine, jasc corp isnt there yet)

for downsizing that small there won’t be much of a difference amongst them.. even heavyweights like Genuine Fractals would have unnees bees ka faraq..

Faizy first of all you dont like paint shop pro since 1.2? which world are u living in. I am a pro user of psp and currently the latest version is X so imagine the jump from 1.xx to 10. In case you dont know PSP supports almost all the “official” plugins like KPT,EYECANDY,XENO and so on. And regarding resizing? Are u ok? PSP can do all kind of resizes also bicupic

And ofcourse u can crop merge canvas size in psp
and btw its not JASC anymore its COREL, COREL has taken over JASC now.
And finally i dont mind that feel stronger for Adobe but then atleast have some valid reasons. Do u work with Vector Designin? Air Brushing? 2D Render Designing/Sketching and so on? Please note like PakistaniAbroad said PSP will b betta for u considering ur level unless u wanna waste money.
So do use adobe but dont say that Corel PSP X cant do the basic things that u mentioned.

^^ I totally agree. Even teeny little apps like Acdsee can crop and do minor file adjustments. PSP is a full blown graphic app which competes in the same range as PS, so how can it not do minor things like that. I personally prefer PS as well, but still.

this is illegal to use keygens, remember the FBI can come after you as some of the programs have inbuilt trojans and spyware **** which updates the software etc and if u are using illegal generated key u can get danda from ur ISP and a big fine.
