As I have been getting requests from other members that we should put in few more things to this Poetry section of gupshup. I do suppose that some members have joined and visit only Poetry section of this discussion forum. Even though there are many other parts of this forum that are very attention-grabbing. So for little bit more amusement of our members, we have decided to bring in few more things. In Sho’ra-e-Gupshup, Amal has already started a thread with the subject “ Hasb-e-Zaeqa" that is for sure making **Sho’ra-e-Gupshup **more interesting. Today we are opening a new thread here in this section **Intikhaab **where you will not only post your one of very favourite Shair, but you will also write/discuss that why you like poetry?
Let’s comprehend fascinating point of views from our intellectual / comical / gloomy and some eccentric members….

It always stirkes me as one of the best verses I have come across so far. It does not have any fiction at all, it's all plain truth which has been put in amazingly simple yet elegant way.
This single sheir of Anwar Masood is mightier than many deewans, at least I think so.

^ BB noboday have time to read poetry aur aap kah rahey wuh ghour karein why they like poetry.... people coming buhat chahlang maarein tou kuch comment kar detey then yeh ja wuh ja.... kisi ko toufeeq nahi keh koi kuch moonh sey phoohtey bhi....
anyway i like poetry bcoz they give us some message i want to add a sher

g ap kahtey hain tu Right ho gha na ...lakiN basacally agar ap dekhain tu is main ye main thing ye hai k oetry hum post tu kar daitey aur shaieri b kar laiety khud se jo kartey tu ye pata karna k log poetry KEON pasand kartey like ap shaieri likhtey khud se tu koi tu waja ho ghi na ya agaR am too much in poetry side tu keon?:)

To be very frank and honest, since I have gained the true understanding of life, I have always felt hopeless about this world. I prefer being quiet and keeping it all locked inside. The couplet above very well describes my state of mind.

Why do I like it? Simply because I agree with Warsi Sahab's point of view. This entire ghazal is a complete description of what one should expect from life and how one should respond to it.
