Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

As someone who studied nutrition as a major in university I DO NOT recommend any pills for weight loss or fat loss.

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

** Ohhh wow thanks soo much hun ....wud u be able to explain why ?... I'm referring to "herbal" pills that contain ingredients like: cyamposis gum, amor phallus and so on....wud appreciate ur expert opinion!.. Thanks**

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

We don't study herbal ingredients but we do talk about it. The reason herbal or so called natural supplements are not recommended is simple because you don't know what you are getting. There is no regulations to make sure the pills are always the same or if they even have the same ingredients as listed in them. Also, these products are not studied so their effects are not known. All these miracle pills people talk about do more harm than good. As the saying goes if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

** Thanks hun but Ive known people actually take them and lose enormous amounts of weight - side affects seen, are huge bouts of diarhoeah but a huge amount of weight loss…whilst I hear what you say - this must obviously prove that in 3 months - people can lose weight but to what extent these “pills” affect your body in terms of whats inside them- still hangs loose… I have googled these products and all appear to be "naturally extracted from flora "…:hmmm:**

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

Yes i have tried, every slimming pill
every slimming pill has its side effect
i used,
Reductil
NO-bese
Accent
Sibutril
Lasani , arg-e mehzal
CHo-arqa
Fazaldin harbal tablets
all laxatives etc
The latest is Reductil,
and the best is SUbitril

the Logic beyond non-herbal madicines is " they make our blood pressure a bit high, due to which , we do not feel hungry , and they give best result, the side effect is depression, and non-happy feeling all the time"
the hurbal medicines act as " laxatives, they push every thing out of our stomach, in fact making us hungry again, "

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

Hey thanks for ur feedback- jeez that doesnt sound too good for ur bodys overall metabolism and blood circulation:bummer:…surely you can reduce weight my just eating health foods at the right times and incorporate a healthier lifestyle as well as excercise???..the evidence is showing these pills are just a money making scheme.. if u do lose weight with them - its at ur bodies expense and it worries me how once you stop taking these pills, how your body would react :hmmm:

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

I know bodybuilders take fat burners but this is in supplement to cardio and extremely disciplined eating. Pill by themselves will not work.

Go nuts :hehe:. There is a LOT of info on that site but if you’re interested that’s the place.

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

Poppies, like I said earlier we don't study supplements. Here is what I do know. There are a few different mechanisms that are used.

One type of pills are that prevent fat from being absorbed. In turn there is a high chance of developing fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K). Look these up to see what the side effects can be of these deficiencies. Due to all the extra fat some of the side effects are cramping, gas, diarrhea etc.

Another type suppress appetite using hormones. These same hormones also have other functions therefore some of the side effects I have heard of are heart irregularities, blood pressure etc.

There are also herbal medications, as I said earlier these are not regulated. So you never know what you get, there are also no studies done to determine the side effects. I don't even know whats in them and how they work. Just because its natural doesn't mean its safe. May have many toxic effects. I will look up some of the ones you mentioned earlier.

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

Herbal pills may not be safe. My doctor freind was telling me of a lady who had kidney failure because of taking ****ake mushroom extract.

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

my hubby took 'alli (orlistat) weightloss tabs prescribed by doctor for three months, it didnt help much except he got rly bad diarhhea and skin irritation: he got dark patches on his face and neck. stopped taking them now but his skin still hasnt cleard up.

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

Herbal pills do work, but if you cannot be done using non-herbal way, herbal cannot perform a miracle either.

You need Vitamins, Antioxidants, immunity build up - sure take a good supplement.

You need size enhancements, wight reductions or skin shade improvement; you know that if it was possible, companies like Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson would be on top of that already.

Re: Anyone tried Slimming pills?

Vivus Inc recently got an FDA approval for an obesity drug. Well first round anyway, but if things pan out, it's gonna be the go to drug cause it's like a 3 in one, obesity/blood pressure/diabetes (I believe)
