I think it is just you…
I thought you were talking about adding milk to the daal when cooking.My mom adds a splash of milk to masar,so do I.it gives it a yummy creamy texture.But that is about it..!

lol, no! I literally get a bowl, add rice, pour the daal and pour in cold milk (it has to be cold while the food has to be hot).
