There is this relatively new airline called ‘air blue’:hmmm:

Any experiences or know of anyone who has used it?

It’s comparatively cheap..£341..

Well, I also didn't hear of it before but last time when I was going with some other airline, I saw the passangers who were going to fly with AirBlue. It is private airline based in Karachi, Pakistan. It is Pakistan's second largest airline

I've not traveled personally on the airline, but most of my relatives have, and they all seem to say that they had a pretty good experience. It's great value for your money apparently.

Airblue is not a new airline, they've been around for a couple of years already. However their flight to the UK is relatively new. I think they just started it last year.

I usually fly Airblue when I travel to Pakistan, because not only are their fares quite reasonable compared to other airlines. But their flight timings out of Dubai are also much more convenient than those of PIA or Emirates. The service is not the best in the world, but I don't really mind that since the flight to Lahore is just 3 hours.

The flight from the UK is considerably longer though. They have a refueling stop in Ankara on their way from Manchester to Islamabad and back, because they still use relatively small planes.

I have also traveled with Airblue on domestic flights and they were quite decent there as well.

It is owned by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, former minister, and now back as an MNA in the paliament.

I think with their present growth rate, they can become # one airline of Pakistan soon.

Yes, the Manchester to Islamabad flight is new..just under a year. I had never heard of it before really.

The reason why I am looking into it is because other airlines are fully booked due to the summer holidays.

Umer, would you say it is a user friendly service?in comparison to say Emirates?

I love AirBlue. I always use it when going to Pakistan. The service is good plus you get to use the business class lounge at Lahore airport if you are travelling first class. The airhostesses provide excellent service and also in general i am very satisfied. However AirBlue leaves from Dubai Airport Terminal 2 which sucks!!:bummer:
