I was in Karachi for 5 days back in February. It was supposed to be a "fun" trip. :(

i recently returned from pakistan. was there for three weeks for our wedding.
on my way to pak, i stayed in london for few days, and then to multan where i stayed for about 3 1/2 weeks.
landed at islamabad first, where i witnessed the the ongoing operations for earthquake victims first hand. even in my flight from london to islamabad, majority of the passengers were related to organizations participating in relief efforts.
had a great time with family, friends and got to see everyone i can possibly imagine.. :)

Hopefully It’ll be Karachi and NOT Cancun this spring break. That city rocks

Not going in 2005, but on 5th January 2006. :p
And it's gonna be a personal trip for 4 weeks that I'm looking forward to very much.

yes via dubai...i wanna spend a day in dubai but i also want to get to pak asap..there is one flight from nyc to dubai that will arrive in dubai at 10 pm...the next flight to khi will fly after 10 hours...would emirates give a free hotel for those 10 hours?

I think they would, but to be on the safe side, I’d recommend you call them in advance.
Hmmmmm. So that means, there will be a few hours when both of us will be in Dubai. I’ll arrive in Dubai on 6th Jan. 1.50 AM and will then fly to Lahore at 3 PM. So I will have 13 hours in Dubai. However I’m not flying Emirates, so I’ll have to arrange the hotel myself.

I was in pk around this time last year, returned to UK on New Year's day, Planning on going again next summer (for marriage).
