Any sushi lovers here?

I know its not a particularly popular item among desies because you know…“hayye allah, kachi machli…yahan ki paydavar ko paka pakaya khana chorke kacha khana chahiye hai”…:hehe:

I LOVE IT :hayaa:

My idea of a wonderful evening is some amazing sushi and The Bourne Series with Matt Damon!

Does anyone make it here?

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

I don’t love it…but nor do I hate it…its ok..not bad once in a while.

But I will never forget the first time I tasted wasabi!!! I was with a bunch of friends…guys..and they “forgot” to mention to me that it was crazy hot!!! :e6:

So I jst took a huge lump of it with my sushi bite…OMG OMG OMG :mad2: i felt like my nostrils were on fire and that fire was shooting upwards to my brain and that my head was gonna explode :hayaa:

I wnts to slap the bunch of them :cb: :cb:

Its not bad once in a while its okay.:yummy: But pakanaa kaya jab bahir itna acha sushi mil hi jaata hai why waste time.

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

Yes!!! I love it!!! :yummy:

I make it at home as well…i used to have this sushi making gadget but now i just use a bamboo mat (makizu).

The varieties are endless and it’s really delicious and healthy! My daughters like it too.

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

i love it! You don't have to put kachi machli in it, bbq'd chicken is really good too. It's high in carbs cos of the rice, but low in fat apparently... probably better than a paratha

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

i don't make it but i enjoy eating the ready-made lunch meals i buy from sainsburys! mmmmmm....

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

I have some big time sushi lovers in my family :naraz:

when I first came to know about it (since it’s not common in Pakistan) I said the same thing "haye allah kachi machliiii " :smack:

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

for ppl concerned about rice, some places make sushi with brown rice as well.
reha, u can get simple sushi of pretty good quality from the mitsuwa supermarket. the large jaanese supermarket in elk grove village. oh and try sushi station, good quality, very reasonable prices, endless supply on conveyor belt, grab what u want

i love sushi, maybe thats what I will have for lunch tomorrow

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

I hate sushi  It looks pretty though.

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

you should have had started practicing when you were 10 years old. making sushi is an art. it requires skills and Honyaki knives.

btw, here is the episode of Glutton for Punishment…where he has five days to learn the intricacies of cutting raw fish, assembling a traditional sushi plate and creating his signature roll.

I want to go and have some right now, may be will go for sushi tonight...

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

Hubby adn I LOVE sushi. Luckily in my neighborhood there are so many sushi places…and they all have a 50% off menu…its not always raw fish, sometimes they have veggie rolls/avocado in it, philadelphia cream cheese, fried chicken or shrimp etc.

:yummy:

Brown rice sushi is just so wrong

I’ve tried it a number of times thinking maybe it’ll taste better this time - there’s no helping it.

I really enjoy sushi - but like to eat it out - I couldn’t be bothered making it at home.

Re: Any sushi lovers here?

i have had mixed experiences with it, but the one from wholefoods is pretty good.
