i never see age as an indication of how adventurous/fun or mature a person is. i've seen too many people acting much younger or older than their numerical age.

I know a 60 yr old man that still acts like a child and totally seems full of life and then there's a guy that was with me in college that was mature beyond his years. but i guess if you're going for an arranged marriage then the age gap would seem very very important to most people.

i just feel like compatibility, maturity, the way the person was raised, his/her values, whether they are respectful, all the other important issues that make a relationship/marriage work have nothing to do with age

age and maturity have nothing to do with each other.

It depends- if the two people click, they click regardless of age. My two cousins are getting married to each other next week (love marriage) and she is 4 years older than him (lol yes it caused many raised eyebrows in the family). My friend, on the other hand, was arranged to a guy when she was just 15 in pakistan and at that point he was 25. Now they have been married for 3-4 yrs (shes 23 now) and MA are very happy together.

Depends on the persons preference. I personally would want someone 4-5 years elder than me, not more than that.

I have heard many people say that 5-6 years is the ideal age gap. I personally don't believe that there is anything such as an ideal gap. There could be none...there could be 15 years....The wife could be years elder than the husband....so age wouldn't be a major factor :)

girls get matured earlier compared to the guy .. if its my personal choice (talking about arrange marriages) i would never say yes to a girl who is 1-2 years younger than me .. .. i know its gona be so boring for me .. however .. for love marriage .. the only thing matter is the chemistry between the 2 .. ;) ..
