I understand that youth is seen as desirable but there is youth as in “in the prime of your life” youth and youth as in “still a child” youth. In my opinion, “larka” had the latter connotation.
I would also find it a bit strange if a lady was referring to her son as “larka” when talking about him to potential prospects because it would not be very flattering as most women wouldn’t want to marry an adolescent boy.
