hi i am a descendent of sultan dhami khan.however i am jat an live near chakswari in azad kashmir.I was given a family tree going back 13 or 14 generations and am told we camr from near rawalpindi.has any one got any info on this matter.
Part of my family is Janjua. Also my ex-inlaws. I was put in a marriage with my khala's son, he was also Janjua and so my kids have his name. Some of my family members have very different last names. My mothers and khala's last names were registered as Akhtar, while my mothers older brother has Janjua as family name. I asked my Dad why my mother and her older brother weren't both Akhtars or Janjuas and my Dad explained that in their time, it was less important and all the names run in our family, so it didn't matter much.
no i am a dhamial jat anyone have info on this subject .sultan dhami khan was my ancestor.

Can you write down the names of your complete ancestry and I will see if I can check it up for you. I have a lot of history on Janjua Rajput tribe, and if you are from us then your Shajra should show it quite easily Inshallah. It may show whether you are from a different distinct Dhamial tribe which shares the Dhamial name of a Janjua branch but isnt really connected with it beyond a similar name.
what are the wedding customs of janjuas?
