ok guys .. all the techies, win2k eXperts, hackers that love to tweak and all that, following is a screenshot..

please pay attention to ONLY the cpu usage graphs..

Scenario:
two 533’s running in Symmetrical Multi-Processing (SMP) architecture…

OS is windows 2000 professional edition with custom changes (strips and stuff) from the original cd(s) and with a built in sp1 WITHIN the installer itself.

Problem:
load cannot be balance.. first processor USUALLY is taking more load while doing cpu-horsepower-intensive works (such as encoding, decoding, RARing/UNRARing, ZIPping, UNZIPping etc)..

now back in the days of NT4 platform, both wks and svr were able to be configured in such a way to balance the load .. win2k i dunno where to do this..

any help would be highly appreciated folks.. =)… (reason i didnt posted it in tech was that i am not sure if najim’s forum allows img or not)..

oh and also.. IF load balancing or configuring the machine isn’t possible from WITHIN win2k.. let me know of any third party tricks/softwarez by which i can do that or reg settings.. ANYTHING!!!..

(motherboard is ABIT’s BP6.. socket 370 PGA) (NOT ppga or coppormine compatible).. ← if mb’s reference is any help that is .. =)

Oh the soloution is simple, yaar.

One of your CPU’s is doing very well and is settled down nicely. Time for aunty ji to find him a nice biwi.

The other is a lazy good-for-nothing CPU who just needs a good thaapar to get his act together.
