Re: Any GS member who changed his inherited Belief System ?

I just wanted to clarify my feelings even though I personally feel that we (common Muslims) in present age are not even equal to the dust under the shoes of Hazrat Ali (r.a) and Hazrat Ayesha (r.a) so we don't even have a right to pass any negative judgements on any of their acts.

Brother I appreciate ur sentiments , without agreeing with all of them may I add respectfully ]
But its important to understand WHY the discussion of intra-sahaba warfare was discouraged in the time of Umar b abdul aziz and after this became a important pillar of sunni doctrine.I think shias need to appreciate the reason behind this even if they dont agree with it
at the time of Umar II [radiallahanhu] the muslim community was recovering from 2 destructive civil wars.Even though there were few doctrinal differences amongst muslims they were divided into 4 major factions NOT present day shias and sunnis ] but
1-party of Ali
2-party of uthman [ummayyads]
3-khawarij
4-supporters of ibn zubair
to his credit despite being a ummayyad umar II treated all factions equally and genuinely tried to heal the rifts of the community in the best possible way.Part of this strategy meant not discussing intra-sahaba conflicts which inevitably led to more conflicts.
Now centuries later I think we shud have the maturity to discuss these events without getting very "jazbaati" in the light of the historical evidence avalible to us.
For the first day of this world till today there is only one religion. ie ISLAM the religion of ALLAH, But with the passage of time different groups deviated from the actual teaching of their times prophet and ultimately end in to inventing very different ideologies. Anyways a muslim should be a muslim only no bralvi, deubandi, wahabi, salafi etc think and belife beyound all these surface matters. Try to learn QURAN from tanzeem (dot) org (Bayan ul Quran) Excellent brief tafseer
My religion is best, its the only true..blah blah blah...
when u guys gonna come out of this mentality?
i think u act like u r the most open minded person on this forum coz u dont believe in religion or dunt care abt it ..... But its so ironic that sometimes u cant take post by muslim guppies and show how narrow minded u r.
U r free to do what u want and free to think what u want, but this applies to everyone here and if someone thinks that his religion is best then u shldnt have any problem with that u shld be concerned abt urz only. If u dunt think ur religion is best then u shld change it coz if u r following a religion that u think isnt the best then there is no point followin it. no body is forcing u to change ur mentality then why are u concerned abt others ?

Well religion for me is a personal matter and i have no interest in showing how I follow it or how good it is and neither i am intrested in marketing my religion or to show disrespect to any other religion. just by shouting my religion is the best doesnt make it best.
