After observing some of the heated debates in the past, I am forced to ask this question without any offense intended towards any person.
Who among GS members have changed their **belief system **from the one they inherited from their parents. Please mention even if there is a minor difference in the two.
From one religion to another or one sect to other.
For example. From Sunni to Shia, or Shia to Sunni. From non-Ahmadi to Ahmadi or vice versa, …etc.
**We at times get aggressive and emotional in calling others bad, but would we have done the same if we were born in the sect / religion that we condemn in present ?!
Of course we should encourage good and discourage bad, but have we REALLY analyzed our present beliefs without any prejudice.
I confess here that at times I might be a bit bias in analyzing my own faith during inter faith discussions. May Allah (s.w.t) bless me with the courage and will to recognize the truth and accept it selflessly. Ameen.

Re: Any GS member who changed his inherited Belief System ?
I dont mind changing my beliefs in return of some free food. Naan halwa, haleem , hareesa or briyani always compell me to stand in the lines of shia and bralvey pals
But on the record the best ever food i have was with Tableeghi jamat friends. That was yummy these brothers were exceptional in cooking
You can call me kam-zor emaan or even be-imaan , for that matters
Ok on serious note , I think i now understand main concepts of religions and sects and can appreciate all the good things in them, Earlier i was quite prejudiced against others.
Sometime ago i thought of changin faith to budhism but droped the idea as these folks are too docile and too boring for my liking …

well, my family reverted to Islam when my father and mum got married. before my father was Aga Khani [do you guys know who Aga khanis are? if not, i can explain you that too..] and we're Alhamdulillah very much satisfied with the religion we're following [we're Sunni Deobandi's] well.. and we have no offence to Barelvis too. as my sister got married in a barelvi family and my inlaws are deobandis. and we all live happily - Alhamdulillah!

Thankyou sister, and JazakAllah for appreciating sister.. that's because of my mum that my papa got hidayah. She's a great women! even my dadi, phuppis, taaya, reverted after my father and Alhamdulillah my mum, dadi and papa performed Hajj 2 times together. i'm also planning to go on Umrah next year - do pray for that too.
Re: Any GS member who changed his inherited Belief System ?
I am in the process of moving from ritualistic Hinduism to philosophic Hinduism......
but I don't know if you can count that as a change in belief system (even though it does involve changes in beliefs) in the same sense as you are using it from / to some other religion. Hinduism expects that some of us would do that. Probably why Hinduism cannot really be dealt with as the other religions
Re: Any GS member who changed his inherited Belief System ?
As I do not follow any religion it helps me to be unbiased towards all and equally respect all ideologies including my own. It also helps me to accept the things on the base of as they really are, instead of bringing in myths. I only follow what my heart says is right, my concious is my driving force on the path of goodness.
Ramadan Kareem to all the Muslims friends on the net.
I moved from organized religion towards being Agnostic/Athiest.
As far I am concerned, Islam, Christianity and Judaism are only beliefs that count... are are all children of Abraham... others are Pagan religions.. Why we are more successful than Japanese or Chinese??? Can any1 explain please....?

A very good question which is answered by a simple technique.
Step 1: Imagine you are a cat
Step 2: Close your eyes
Step 3: All universe has become dark, right?
