as in soon after ur marriage, your with ur in laws, have you ever said/done anything so silly/funny/emabrrsin…there are some which i can not say, but its weird, how at home in the uk/usa lifestyle here is diff. so if you did the same things in pak, its actually quite cringeworthy…
my most embarrasinggggggggggggggggggggggggggg was the day after i got married and my MIL was offering me adivce on ermmm concieving, ( if you get my pointttttt) and she kept going on and on and on… and she was trying to talk to me in english…so imagine a MIL who cant really speak english well, explaning concieiving to her very purple faced daughter in law…
another was when MIL and FIL saw me and hubby shopping, and we were in the bazaar, now we are married, so we decide holding hands and being all lovey dovey is normal…my FIL nearly choked…and my MIL gave us a very quiet lecture that..in her own words…any spice in your marriage should be kept for behind closed doors in ENGLISH…to both of us, god felt like i was in detention centre…
my MIL has a habit of using the word spice in substitute for s**…so it makes our convos very confusingg…other than that shes lovely…
i have more small incidents, i have to find the energy to type it all up..haiiii

another was when my MIL was minding her own business one sunny morning, and this was the day after barat and i hadnt taken my makeup or fake hair or pins outta my hair..cos we got home at 5am and i crashed into bed to slp.....so anyway at 9am u can imagine my face and hair.....and i didnt bother washing it or taking the hair out or anything..i look like a bhootni, but hell i decided to say salam first before shower...she nearly jumped off the seat she was sitting on....and i nearly screamed when i saw my halat in the miror..my husband had to ask me if i was the same girl he married...he also decided to take a picture...so i have that somewhere......

one must be sensitive to customs and cultures and also to the elder's likes and dislikes. they won't be on your back 24/7...make them happy coz they won't be there for too long then one cal enjoy to the fullest. and, i am talking about parents/PIL [Parents in law]
