Your going to love it here!! There is more to look forward to than just snow...so don't worry! But I would advise you to invest in a very warm jacket and good pair of boots...or you'll experience some good old frostbite :P But yea you should visit Banff and Jasper...stunning scenery!! And you'll probably develop a love for hockey!! So let me quickly explain how it usually works up here..The Calgary Flames are the best!!, then comes Montreal Canadians....and then the Ottawa senators! The Edmonton oilers and Vancouver canucks just suck...and Toronto Maple leafs are having some major issues and should for this season just be ignored :P

Why m i not surprised that Malika is posting here ... and why m i not surprised to see a post that includes shoes and hockey :p ... and don't listen to malika here shez biased for calgary flames ... once you come down to toronto you are automatically a part of the leafs nation ... maple leafs are having some issues this season but we'll come thru it ... and malika the fight is on now ... u picked the wrong team to mess with :p

awww, thanks Malika :) I'll keep that in mind.

I'll get some Ugg boots or I think I'll just stay at home and keep myself warm.

I've heard the heating systems in the houses are like AC's so that there are vents which pump out hot and cold air as and when its needed.

in england its all radiators which sucks.

if anyone of you guys have been to england, which one is better between canada and england/

I haven't been to england but i've lived in a few parts of the world and Canada is one of the nicest place to live to be quite honest. You will find something for everyones taste here and it doesn't matter wat you like and what sort of people you want to integrate in.

As far as the heating system is concerned we have a central heating at home and it works well for me and my dad but the women in our family still feel cold so they have small heaters in their room.

and I think you should learn punjabi too while you're at it ... officially french is the second language ... but if you're coming to GTA and especially mississauga/brampton or GTA area in general then i think punjabi is wayyyy more helpful than french ....
