Hey everyone. If you do live in Canada esp Ontario please let me know what it’s like as I am moving there next year and want to know what everyone’s experiences have been like. Is it a nice place? clean? nice people? I know about the weather being cold but apart from that, is it a good place to make a move to?
Re: Any Canadians here?
You like Gola Ganda?
Re: Any Canadians here?
Snow Ball ...
Re: Any Canadians here?
ha ha, never really experienced proper snow.
Is that all I have to look forward to? A snowball in my face?
not on face …all over you …and under ..and left and right … ![]()
If you are ok for having this for
around 3-4 months, then its a nice place to live…

Re: Any Canadians here?
I am from Toronto, Ontario. I don't think I would want to move anywhere else permanently from here (shows how much I like being here...). Affordable?..umm, it depends on your job/salary to be honest but in my opinion, it is getting a little hard for families with kids, elderly etc. because things are getting expensive (but thats everywhere really nowadays). Accomodation is quite pricey..inlcuding buying a condo, house, or even rentals. Employment scene is not the greatest here lately but again, thats the same everywhere.
Re: Any Canadians here?
Markham is nice place. tons of IT companies.
If you can visit Mississauga. Millions of pak/muslims there.
You know its all good where ever you land.
You making a good decision.

Survival job is not a problem, a better professional job largely depends on your education and experience.
Country has a well run Health and Old Age Plan (which everyone including our Pakistani bhais are abusing). Tax is a bit on high side but you get quite a lot of government services in return.
We moved to Toronto from USA because we have quite a large family here and never went back to US despite its -20 C weather (for couple of months in a year)
Re: Any Canadians here?
yea well Iam in england right now and what you've just described is exactly how it is here in terms of employment and house prices hence the move but the people here are rude and I hate how everything is crowded. logon kaye dil bhi chotaye chotaye haye.
plus the weather here is abysmal.
Iam hoping the move to canada is worthwhile. My main fear is finding work and fitting in.

People move here from every corner of the world and find work, I think you will do ok specially when you are moving from UK. I'd keep atleast a buffer of 1-2 year for finding your dream job...

yea, i've heard that. but i've heard healthcare isnt too good with lots of underpaid and overworked doctors.
I am looking forward to the landscape though like Banff and well...other places.
