The real alim will not confess to being alim . They shy away and will tell you that they are student only. That being said post your question and you will get some conventional answers and some very radical one. The choice will be your to pick and choose.

Islamically or legally by the country you live in?????? Both have different implications. Khula is initiated by the wife. It means to ask for a dissolution of the marriage, in which case, she's forgoes the Mahr gift. In legal terms you need to see what are the terms and conditions of a dissolution. Islamically ofcourse you will need a person who is legislated by the State to perform marriage contracts on the basis of religion. Only he can perform the dissolution religiously but still not legally. Court proceedings must be completed.

It's so sad to see anyone making fun of an individual who quotes authentic ahadith. :(
i was referring to those that make up their own fatwas and preach it to others. I dont recall you ever doing that 
yea…it is sad. It’s one thing to have your own interpretation based on your own personal research and knowledge of Quran and discuss it with others but it’s another to intentionally make fun of it. It’s always wise to keep your mouth shut if in doubt.
