Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

I read once in a book called Parallel Universe is that one theory says that maybe our universe has just one particle going back and forth in time and we are at the junction of time when we observe about 1.57×10[SUP]79[/SUP] of such incidents simultaneously and that makes our whole observable Universe.

I kind of paraphrased the above theory but in nutshell that is what it said.

Particle Physics is one amazing science. It literally blows the mind off if you go into the details of it. Its more if not as amazing as Physics of Relativity.

I see :chai:

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

It blew my mind too…but in a different way. Chotay chotay particles ho gaye :naak:

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

They say that's what makes antimatter and when positron collides with electron, it's total matter annihilation. Trying to collect enough antimatter in the LHC could prove to be extremely dangerous. If we are able to do so, very little holds power to destroy our entire planet in the blink of an eye. It would create the ultimate nuclear weapon.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Every mass generates energy. matter and antimatter if brought together under optimal conditions can generate energy equal to billions of nuclear reactors! Creeps and awes me at the same time innit :D

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

A friend mine accidentally called large hadron collider, large hardon collider. Oh the fun that we made of him

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

^:hehe: I am so calling it the Large HardOn collider from now on..

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

I’m with Niki on this one.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

OK, so after a behooda derailing of the thread by Theorist, lets get back to the topic.

I dont get that part of your comment. What is "that's" here? What part of my OP are you referring to?

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Thank you :naak:.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Positrons..:hoonh: What else?

Unless you forgot what YOU were talking about. :hmmm:

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

And I didn’t derail your thread, TLK. I made it more interesting.. :snooty:

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Astagfarullah!!??

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

antimatter can be created out of reversal of annihilation too. In fact Big Bang occurred through a reversed process, an anti-annihilation if you may.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Never heard of any theories on anti-annihilation. I am intrigued. :hmmm: Where do I find out more about this?

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

its called theory of Big bang :hehe:

BTW, read Stephan Hawking’s "black holes and baby universes". He talks about black holes evaporating particles and how they could theoretically die. You will learn more about anti-annihilation there.

Simply put (my words), just like two particles can collide and annihilate into nothingness, two particles can emerge out of nothingness too (by principle of uncertainty). This is exactly what happened in big bang when out of nothingness, matter and antimatter came to existence. Interestingly (and this is where GOD comes in the picture :D), instead of creating equal amount of matter and antimatter, big bang created 10 Billion and 1 particles for every 10 billion antiparticle (for more of this read my highly recommended book for every one “symbiotic universe”). This extra one particle out of every group of 10 billion particle/antiparticle sets is what created our universe. This theory also solves the puzzle of where all the antimatter is. Answer is, they all annihilated back, leaving one extra particle for every 10 billion annihilation.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

OK :vivo: I thought you meant once they annihilate each other, they are born again or something like that.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

yani k dekagh ka dahi bun gaya. :hehe:

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

How do we know that when they annihilate, they dont pass themselves into another universe/dimension and reincarnate there?
