Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

shouldn't annhilation just be transformation of a mass into energy...in this case massive energy. shouldn't the matter just cease to exist then ?

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Now we are starting to get ahead of ourselves. Zara peechiye hatjaiiye. :chai:

@Enigmatic- yes exactly! Therefore me thinks there had to be something before the Big Bang - call it background radiation or whatever. Perhaps another universe gave birth to ours. There’s also a theory that suggests that there must be a MOTHER universe that gave birth to a twin universe. We are matter and our twin universe contains antimatter yet we are a mirror image of each other.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

If proven this could be something big…

CERN scientists ‘break the speed of light’

Scientists said on Thursday they recorded particles travelling faster than light - a finding that could overturn one of Einstein’s fundamental laws of the universe.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Sure, not only that there was a mother universe, there was also a father universe and when they were in the process of conceiving twin baby universes, there was a twa’oon wa’oon chica chica music playing in the background. Theorist please stop collecting your physics knowledge from supermarket tabloids …

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

^Dude TLK, that’s a very well known theory among physicists. Not only does our twin universe consist of positions, even the time moves in a different direction. It’s not as far fetched as saying particles annihilate in our dimension and reappear in a different one.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

vat is time?

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

so one is matter universe, one is anti matter universe but times flows in opposite direction? Does not that make antimatter universe, matter universe (as when you change the flow of time, you change anti matter to matter)?

I have not clicked your link yet

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

What's your definition of antimatter? Do click on the link. It's bery interesting

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

OK I will. Later today.

and please feel free to send any other link my way that has the word 'twins' in the URL

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

yeh thats what Dan brown told us in angels & demons :)

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

he did!!??

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

^ You havent read angels and demons?

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

nope, but have seen the movie

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Fantastic movie!! They of course had to remove quite a bit of scientific bits about anti-matter from the book. Dan brown explained it well in the book… :k:

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

Maybe I should read it, although I am not at all in fiction ..

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

If you read and liked da vinci code, then you will like this one too. Well written fiction.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

True, but theoretically, this equation is reversible. (E=MC[SUP]2[/SUP]). You can convert mass from energy.

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

I watched da vinci code, have not read it though

Re: Antiparticle: a particle traveling backwards in time

So please brief me on just exactly how did he describe antimatter?
