Anti-Pakistanism in India

Re: Anti-Pakistanism in India

I don’t attribute his greatness to India or anything like that. I was just showing that when he was attacked according to express tribune other students helped him. He also mentioned he did not face discrimination based on nationality or religion in his 2 years there. He said he made many friends andnone expressed anti-Pakistani sentiment. That’s what i was getting at. It seems one incident does not cancel out all his good experiences according to him. It is also his words that he wants to visit India a thousand times and that he has more friends in India than Pakistan. If an Indian student was attacked in Pakistan or if a tourist was attacked I wouldn’t want people to be alarmist and generalise the whole country as being anti-Indian. If the student says he had positive experiences and experienced hospitality for most of his time there and was not discriminated according to him/her I wouldn’t want to assume that this incident would cancel that out or that there is an anti-Pakistani wave. Also, if the student himself says he was popular on campus and does not explicitly say it was because of his background that he was attacked I wouldn’t want to rush into thinking it was because he was Indian (if the reverse situation occurred). I speak for myself but if i was attacked as a student in Pakistan i’d want to assume it was a random event, due to lack of security, maybe a grudge rather than being Indian.
