I came across this article and it seems they were not arrested but suspended. This was then revoked by the Vice chancellor of the University Prof Manzoor Ahmed who said only 10 were suspended for misconduct and damaging property. The other 57 then sat for their exams. There was widespread criticism of the initial decision by the university which shows that people did not accept it because it goes against basic freedoms. The second incident in another university was followed on from this and an inquiry is in place. I’m hopeful justice will take it’s course and they will be allowed to continue.
