Is being wary of a heart transplant just because heart is Indian showing that someone being Indian is not an issue?
This is by a common citizen in an article i posted rather than the government. It’s not that old either but 2011. It’s unfortunate that Indian politics revolves around Pakistan and elections use this stance to appear tough. Even in US and Western countries in election propaganda they use 3rd countries to appear tough. I agree it’s wrong but how does that make the average Indian or majority of Indians anti-Pakistani people (rather than disagreeing with the government like Pakistanis may do with the Indian government).
It might not be as much in Pakistan but if something sounds like it’s Indian it’s not politically favorable to associate with it. Like when the word vishwas was used Pakistani media reacted strongly against it. It’s just a word..why is it a big deal if it is mentioned? How can a word be threatening?

I don’t see it as a bad thing. I’m sure people watching Pakistani dramas in India are not worried by being invaded by Urdu with this new channel. They’re happy to learn new words. I haven’t read any articles in Indian media worrying about Pakistani culture affecting Indians. All media, even the conservative ones, are positive about this channel. There are some Pakistani media that worry about influence of Bollywood/Indian things etc (but not as much hollywood??)..how does that make sense? what about the indian doctors delayed visa to provide free medical camps by the interior ministry of Pakistan? what about the 2 indian journalists asked to leave Pakistan for no reason? India and Pakistan have an agreement to allow 2 journalists on either side to report stories. They live under tight restrictions and cannot travel beyond Islamabad. No reason was given to ask them to leave. How will Indians know about the true Pakistan if they can never hear about it from the locals?
Maybe there are no journalists in India either..so both are the same.Even after this more conservative new gov there was no opposition to an Indian channel showing just Pakistani shows. Despite whoever the gov is people on both sides get denied visas for random reasons just based on the mood of the gov of the day.
Problem is on both sides in different ways. Maybe India it is more open about it in election time. As ordinary citizens there’s not much you can do.
