diwana, you need to be restricted to cafe where you can work on how to communicate using properly structured, grammatically correct sentences.
You need to come out of the hole where every wall says burning churches and Ahmadis are considered kaafir! ...........:)
how many innocent people you know have been sent to Gitmo? I'm not defending that place. it's a hell hole and needs to be shut down. but people who were sent there were involved in some shady activity... and needed to be tried. you make it sound like average Muslims are being rounded up and being sent off to concentration camps. what harassment, what discrimination? I don't live in the US. but in Canada there is no systematic harassment/discrimination. Muslims get jobs. they buy houses. they thrive. they don't get stopped because of beards, etc.
btw, where do you live? I sure hope it's not the big bad US. because it would look awfully stupid if you still live in the US despite it being so unbearably horrible.
how many people i know have been sent to Guantanamo bay you ask? 0.
Now, what about you? how many do you know personally? did you see them performing those "shady activities".
Listen, you may feel strongly about our qadiani countrymen but it is just utterly stupid to bring the issue in every thread. Now this topic is not directly connected to qadiannis. So, please stay on topic and tell us what u think about the muslims building a mosque in manhattan? should they be allowed or not?

but I will make sure I condemn the actions of Muslims before expecting condemnation from Christians.

This thread is not about terrorism from extremist Muslims. You need to learn to condemn appropriate people at appropriate time.
if we only tried to right our actions before expecting others to right theirs, the world would be a much better place.
What the heck are you talking about? Why don't you see the topic of the thread? Why are you bringing every Tom, RICHARD, and Herry, when all you need to do is to say yes these people are Islamophobes?
plus I won't open sarcastic threads to make points about how America isn't really "secular". it's like making fun of someone for falling down when you yourself don't even have any legs to stand on.
It's not a sarcastic thread on secularism. I did not use the word in the first post. It was YOU who first used it in the second post of this thread.
Re: Anti-mosque demonstrations in Manhattan
^ Exactly!
And this dude keep telling others to learn English language! Read his other posts...everyone on GS who does not agree with him needs ESL classes...Talk about one track mind! :D
Re: Anti-mosque demonstrations in Manhattan
^ People who make fun of other's language, race, height etc; do it because of their own inferiority complexes.
Many Americans make no distinction between Qaeda/Taliban terrorism and Islam in general. To such people Islam is terrorism.
Of course they do. That is why mosque has been approved for construction right next to where WTC was.
lets not be so hypocrites... in our country, despite the new media and an "independent" judiciary, churches are set on fire, Christians burned alive, Ahmedis shot in mosques, Ahmedi patients attacked in hospitals, etc... and even after all this the focus of Pakistanis is on defending the disgusting part of the constitution that says that Ahmedis are kaafir.
it is not very smart of us to beech about equal rights, secularism in other countries while we defend discriminatory black laws in our own country.
this argument of how minorities may be treated in muslim majority countries does not work for muslims who are born and raised in US or UK. why use one wrong to justify another wrong? No one is saying its okay for one group to be discriminatory and not another.
people being discriminated anywhere have a right to speak up and have a right to equal treatment.
a muslim person born in UK, whose parents were born in UK has almost no link to some muslim country his grandparents may have come from. Cuz what are we saying otherwise, that until dictatorial regimes in muslims countries fix up their lame practices and protect minorities, giving them an equal shot to progress and prosper, until then muslim minorities in US & UK etc should just shut up and deal with it?
Yes, the pathetic treatment on religious, ethnic, racial minorities in muslim majority countries needs to stop, but that does not mean that american muslims, who essentially have no ties to those places except that their grandparents or parents may hail from there, can not fight against discrimination against them in their own country i.e. USA.
Re: Anti-mosque demonstrations in Manhattan
^Well said.
Many Americans make no distinction between Qaeda/Taliban terrorism and Islam in general. To such people Islam is terrorism. There is a project to make a mosque near WTC ground-zero. In the hopes to make distinction between Muslims and terrorism in their name. But this plan is being vehemently opposed by some Americans.
ignorant people are found everywhere, some you can reason with and others have their minds made up and they will stick to their views regardless, like the folks who try to hide their racist hate against Obama as a birth certificate issue, even when there is none, but they will stick to their views. For such folks, there is no need to dialogue and educate, but counter them in all ways. so ignorance, anywhere, should be tackled with education as well as countering the influence and impact of jacque arses :) thankoo

Its okay. Samb only *****es when Muslims do something wrong. When muslims are victims of racism and such actions he doesn't care. He joins in.
you're proof that GS needs to ask members to take English and IQ tests before being allowed to post.
In that case, you'll surely dis-qualify to post !!!
Re: Anti-mosque demonstrations in Manhattan
samb, seems to me you've really lost your mind.
Here a little piece of advice. Make ablution, give yourself a break from gupshup, newschannels & media, stay quiet for a good number of hours & just RELAX! Read some Quran if you like. Maybe you'll better be able to see things clearly & stop turning into a silly fanatic yourself.
is it a difficult concept to understand that we look like fools when we whine for equal rights in other countries where we are religious minorities when we are not willing to extend the same to minorities in our own country?
Lets not compare apples with oranges. In Pakistan even Sunnis (Deo-bandi) can't tolerate Brelvi Sunnis and vice versa. Western countries claim to be 'equal rights' countries, so why discrimination? Either they drop this 'equal rights' thingie or stop discriminating.

fair enough... and true especially for people who're born and raised in these countries.
but the link that I was trying to get at was... that if a person defends discrimination based on religion, etc in the country of his birth, does he really have a right to biatch about equal rights in another country or the country that he currently resides in?
for example, khoji mian was one of the few vocal opponents of deleting the clause from the constitution that declares Ahmadis kaafir. why should he of all people whine about equal rights, discrimination etc in the US? if one supports discrimination against others in one place, then one should not biatch about it another place just because he/she is the victim in the latter case.
In that case, you'll surely dis-qualify to post !!!
thank you for your contribution. as usual enlightening...

about time you sought some help for your Peter Pan syndrome...

give this advice to some twelve year old. doesn't work for me.
Re: Anti-mosque demonstrations in Manhattan
america belongs to the red indians. After them it belongs to everyone equally so masjid should be allowed to be built in the desired place cause its a place of worship and peace.

you are sadly mistaken.in Pakistan everyone tolerates everyone.
you have never been to Pakistan so stop playing a Pakistani.
All your posts are negative and full of propoganda and hidden motives and agendas.
There has always been foreign hand behind few sad incidents.
Muslim is Muslims brother and he will never hurt him.
Of course they do. That is why mosque has been approved for construction right next to where WTC was.
yes. It has been approved by the community board and well as the local politicans. They also held the village meeting where the Imam addressed the communities concerns.
Now the main objective is for the donations from the US as well as from muslim countries.
Hope they get all the donations. I'A.

Go to FATA and Pakhtunwa and see how the people there support terrorism. The madrassas there openly support and call for terrorism. And I have seen your previous posts and how you have openly insulted Ahmadis and calling them follower of cults so please don't brag about tolerance.
