Continue with these not-so-well-disguised anthropology discussions. But since you were using Bollywood as the spine of this whole drama, I thought I would point out it's just how the game is played, nothing to do with anthropology really. Fair Pakistanis, dark indians, misleading media. I think we have covered all bases here now. But hey.. keep discussing it further..

So far, the Bollywood anthropological expeditions findings have been:

1. Most Indians are africans, except for “upper” castes and movie stars.

2. Most Pakistanis are the same as “upper” caste hindus.

3. Upper caste hindus make up 2, 3, 4, 5% of the Indian population depending upon which paragraph of the chief scientists report you read.

4. Karachiites and Lahoris, who tend to look Indian, are not representative of Pakistanis.

5. Most of the Indian looking Pakistanis migrated from the Indian side during partition.

Not sure I can handle so much reality so soon.

Why is talking about Bollywood off limits for non Indians? I dont really care what you say about Lollywood..You can say what you like..Just curious..

Nope, most Pakistani Punjabis would be a shade lighter than Hindu upper castes.

4. Karachiites and Lahoris, who tend to look Indian, are not representative of Pakistanis.

Absolutely not. Karachiites tend to be Indian muhajirs, Sindh is only one province of Pakistan, Lahore is just one of many cities in Pakistan (close to the Indian border too).

Yes.

Yes, it’s not easy for some people to realize this, especially having lived in a narrow cocoon all their lives watching Bollywood and only meeting certain groups of the populations..

Yes, except most upper caste Indian Hindus are also Dravidian, probably about a quarter are slightly more non Dravidian than Drvid.

Yes, those areas have more of an Indian look to them. Try seeing the country areas.

Perhaps half. Perhaps 3 million?, Pakistan's population at the time was perhaps 33 million, so, 1/11th of it which would make about 16 million migrators today. That's quite a few..Most of these will be in Karachi, Sindh, places like that..

I agree, in the West, a lot of the Pakistanis are from just a couple of locations in Pakistan, some from the South, and the Indians are generally the upper of the upper castes..So there's not so much visual difference.

Here is a little true joke for you.

When fist dish antenna came to pakistan we use to watch "intak shiri" and we all noticed audience were all ugly all the time.

Then when one day show was ending host said "if you want to be in live show please write us AND DON'T FOR GET TO SEND YOUR PICTURES"

FYI, Only Pakistani Punjabis have blue/green eyes. Sikhs/Pathans/Sindhis and other Indians including mohajirs have lot of indigenous(dravidian) blood in them.

There is a community Koknastha Brahmins from Maharashtra who speak Marathi (also called as KOBRA) who are very fair and have green/gray eyes like Europeans.

Yeah...the Kobra women in PUne used to be quite pretty....(God this discussion on fair and light eyes only in some region called Pakistan is so sad....). There are a small number spread across India who are fair with light eyes....
