Anyone for a bit of evolutionary science? Since I’ve seen a lot of Bollywood stars with bright eyes, but yet to meet an Indian with the same, I thought I’d ask an anthropological question. Anyone care to discuss? ..and dont tell me Aishwarya Rai does not wear contact lenses..

FYI, Only Pakistani Punjabis have blue/green eyes. Sikhs/Pathans/Sindhis and other Indians including mohajirs have lot of indigenous(dravidian) blood in them.

Lol..she doesnt have green eyes..She has blue eyes sometimes..you want to see I'll post some pictures in the image forum..but you are all wrong..quit living in your escapist worlds. The only people in the subcontinent with bright eyes are the Kaffirs of Gilgit/NWFP and the Pathans of the NWFP. If you want proof, just ask..

You're living in dream land if you think Bollywood with its 50% light eyed actresses is anything like representative of India. In the 1931 census there was perhaps 0.0001% of people in India with fair eyes at most.
PS the media just prints the pictures. It does not research who wears contacts or not. Just try and be realistic, it's a warm country..

Hey, what about Punjabi muslims? You can see tons of light-eyed Punjabi muslims all over Punjab and Karachi. Yeah, been to Hunza valley and saw light-eyed people but Punjabis are also original Aryans.

Punjabis (including Sikhs) are majority brown eyed, some do have white skin though. The Aryan migration hypothesis is not yet proven, but there could have been an influx of light skinned people from West Asia.

Menu eik gal dass.. why some Pathans also look like Madrasi? Look at Jahangir Khan, the famous squash player.. he looks like one mota, kala madrasi.. thick lips, dark skinned and thaali like flat face. If you look at Wasim Akram on the other hand, he can easily play World cup soccer finals for Italy- cuz he looks so freakin' Italian... it could also be possible that all Pathans are Indians and all their claims that they are centrial asians might be fake :D

Just because someone has a "Khan" surname does not make them Pashtun. In fact some people use this surname and claim to be Pathans in India. Jahangir Khan does not look Pathan to me.
Pathans, the real ones anyway, are more or less white behind the tan. Look at the Pakistani cricket team. Shahid Afridi and Younis Khan are the only two Pathans there. Compare them with the rest of the squad from other areas and there is a huge difference in their looks. Wasim Akram does look Punjabi, that is true.

But it's Indians that talk about the Aryan invasion most of all and have their caste system based on skin colour. Also if you look at Bollywood, that is clearly obsessed with colour.

If you ask an Indian (perhaps you are one), whether the Indians are aboriginal they will deny it and show you pictures of Aishwarya Rai :D. The ethnicities of Pakistanis are many, some Sindhis, some Brahuis etc. Greek and Roman admixture is very small, and I dont think Pakistan has a heritage in either "Farsi" or India. Some might, a lot do not.
