Jahangir Khan is from a village near Peshawar… Follow the link below: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jahangir_Khan
He is 100% Pathan - he has said himself in the interviews about his Pashtun origins.. he is same as Imran Khan or Shahid Afirid as far as genetic makeup goes
Shahid Afridi looks Pathan but Younis Khan looks Indian(maybe someone from UP) buddha(I was surprised when I heard he is only 28).
His genetic make up has never been tested. But he does not look like a Shahid Afridi or even an Imran Khan, he looks more Indian, he’s Hindko in fact which is a Punjabi mixture. But the Khan surname does not mean a thing. He could very well be mixed a lot with Indian ancestry.
Actually, Jehangir Khan cannot even speak Pashto.
LOL. Younis Khan looks nothing like an Indian. He has white skin and green eyes. Younis Khan is actually from Mardan near Peshawar.
last i checked, indians dont claim to be alexander’s long lost relatives, indians dont pretend to be persian or arabi, have no problems speaking their native tongues, and with teaching them at schools.
every pakistani traces his family tree back to samarkhand, iraq, syria, greece, arabia, iran. punjabi pakistanis are ashamed of their language. the whole nation tries its best to adopt lucknowi urdu as its language.
sure indians discriminate based on skin color, a very despicable and uncivilized act. pakistanis do the same too. in fact, every week we have a thread here taking pride on how pakis are more fair skinned than indians. many of the posts on this thread are pretty much along those lines.
Taliban Spokesman who came on CNN just after 9/11, a pashtun was dark-skinned and looked like LTTE spokeperson who could not speak proper English. Most of the Talebanis looked south Indian. Did you actually look at the family tree part in the link? Look there. Jahangir Khan is neither Hindko nor pure punjabi… he’s a pakka kala pathan . You can ask Pathan guppies on this forum to post their pics and you will understand that Pathans are actually Indians.. Only Baloch, Punjabi and Kashmiri are central asians.
Pathans actually dont claim to be Alexander's lost relatives. Those are some more Northern Dari tribes that do that. Pathans arent Semitic, and they arent Greek (a small proportion might be, the smaller ones with the flatter noses possibly). Indians cant claim to be Persian or Arab usually.

I dont know about Punjabi Pakistanis, but there's some of them that crossed over from India during partition. I think the Indian ones acknowledge their Indian ancestry and the ones with Arab ancestry acknowledge this too. The Jordanian princess is one such Pakistani.

Mocking people to put them down in a joking way is not the same as discriminating in real life on the basis of colour. The two are not a fair comparison.
You do get a couple of dark skinned Pushtoons, but the majority are white underneath the tan. It’s not necessarily better and I dont know why you’re getting so worked up about it. If someone says they are white, why do you get all so hot and bothered?
The Taliban looked as South Indian as Nelson Mandela looks like Kim il Jong.
How is Jahangir Khan Pashtun. He was born in Karachi and he cannot speak Pashto. If you look at the family tree in that wiki article it mentions nothing about being Pashtun. It just tells of the last generation or two of his family tree with names like Hashim etc. His look is more Indian or Indobrachid than Pashtun.
You will find a lot of Indians claiming to be Pathans, I agree with you on that. But they look nothing like Pathans and just claim to be Pathans, that’s all.
Is there a mental disability affecting certain Pakistanis about their race and ancestry? I can think of no other reason for the large number of threads trying to prove that this or that ethnic group is descended from anything other than "Indian".
The title of the thread is anthropology and people of India. Do you not consider this to be an interesting topic? How realistic is Bollywood would you say?
How does anthropology and Bollywood have anything to do with each other? Have you made a scholarly treatise.. have you read a paper at a conference... have you published in a scientific journal?
My question is why are Bollywood actresses nearly 100% fair skinned, and 50% fair eyed, when your typical North Indian looks nothing like this? If you look at some of the zit ridden desi youth, they really believe India is like that apparently. Some foreigners too.
However, if you have information on the peopling or anthropology of India (for example GraziloIndide people etc), then do share it..
Indians need to bulk up. Any normal paki can easily beat the crap out of atleast two single-pasli indian masaladosas. No wonder indian girls prefer pakis guys too.
If you think the average Indian looks like Bollywood stars you are an idiot.
Most Bollywood stars are either partially or fully of non-Indian descent.
I have seen a few Indians with light skin and green eyes, some were even Bengali and South Indian but they are a very very very small minority.
South Indians are usually the darkest and North Indians and Pakistanis a little less, amongst them Punjabis from both sides are the fairest even though some are just as dark but they are all darker than people from Kashmir, Northern Areas and Pashtuns.
