ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

I don’t understand why PPP Sindh had not taken into confidence its other coalition partners in this key decision? Looks like tough times for PPP before elections, if the decision taken not in the interest of whole Sindh and all population living in Sindh.

A part from my criticism of IK, sometimes IK said things in his speeches. I admire him a lot. Just listen to his speech regarding AZ comparing with ZAB. I don’t know how to short cut to that portion.

KARACHI: Abrupt political developments soon after promulgation of Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance 2012 in the wee hours of Friday has affected the PPP-led coalition government, as Awami National Party, National Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League Functional announced parting ways over reservations on SPLGO.

The PML-Q minister Shahryar Mahar too reportedly announced quitting the government, however, Haleem Adil Shaikh, Advisor to Chief Minister for Relief, who belongs to PML-Q, said Mahar’s resignation could be his personal decision, as his party has not yet decided to quit the government.

Imtiaz Ahmed Shaikh, general secretary of PML-F and the Advisor on Special Education, while talking to the newsmen at the launching of annual report on Child Labor, compiled by Iqbal Detho, at a local hotel this night said “All of ministers and advisors of my party would tender resignation. We reject the SPLGO 2012 which tantamount to dividing Sindh. It was promulgated in the darkness of night without taking into confidence any of the other coalition parties except MQM. The PML-F had already expressed its reservations over the proposed system but surprisingly they signed it in haste late in the night and promulgated immediately. They are not even showing the ordinance to us after promulgation.”

Imtiaz Shaikh termed it an injustice to the people of Sindh as the Ordinance imposes two different systems in the province. Describing the SPLGO as impractical, the PML-F leader said the chief minister contacted them today after promulgation of ordinance but his party would consult other allies before holding talks with the government.

Meanwhile, NPP minister Abid Jatoi also reportedly has announced his decision to quit the government while Muhammad Ali Malkani, Aijaz Shah Sheerazi and Shahryar Mahar too are said to have announced tendering resignations however Haleem Adil Shaikh confirmed only of Shaharyar Mahar saying he announced quitting government in the presence of Pir Sahib Pagara. Haleem Adil while talking to PPI on phone said his party would not quit the government.

“Yes we have reservations on the ordinance, but we do not reject it as we had agreed most of its points. I talked to Ch. Pervez Elahi on this situation who said PML-Q would remain part of the government”, he said.

Haleem Adil said the government had contacted them today but the local leadership of PML-Q has decided to consult each other and then respond to the government. He also complained that although the senior minister Pir Mazhar had promised that the coalition parties would be taken into confidence before finalising the draft ordinance but they had in fact acted contrarily.

Meanwhile, the Pir Sahib Pagara has called Rajar, his party’s minister in federal cabinet, back to Karachi.

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

"aao mil baant key khatay hain Sindh ko".

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

So the party that claims to be 'democratic', 'representative of people' and 'most popular in Sindh' had to go through an Ordinance for the plan to share resources with MQM instead of democratically debating and passing a bill through the parliament.

Lanat hai.

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

Would this ordinance be by the governor?

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

Provincial Ordinance is to be signed by Governor of the Province

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

I personally do support the local government system, but it would have been better if it had come through the assemblies. I don't agree with its timing too, as already four and a half years have lapsed, delay of a couple of months more wouldnt have made any difference. Local bodies in place before the next elections could become a source of rigging in the next elections.

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

Local bodies elections without a census. These two parties ppp and mqm are drunk.. are they just going to guess the population?

And now I am hearing that they are going to disassociate themselves from this
Perhaps on the orders of real Captain ,The great Asif Ali Zardari .

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

No one can be greater than Zardari when it comes to loot khoost of the qaumi khazana and being the greatest corrupt the world has ever seen. The great zardari indeed.

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

From 'slightly better' to 'great Asif Zardari', next you know Zardari will be better than Quaide Azam, Nelson Mandela, Gandhi etc.

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

No No he is less than Imran Khan

You always come to support our **Vice President .

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

I can not support a criminal, a corrupt person who has committed crime against its people, someone who runs away to luxury of foreign trips in times of crisis when he has responsibility of taking care of its nation.

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

I think it is more like administrative decision satisfying demand of only one party. I don't think there is any money transaction here. Zardari has not been involved any loot khasoot being President for more than 41/2 years.

Re: ANP, PML-F, NPP and PML-Q minister quit coalition government

**Again off tangent post. Zardari has favored only one party and made enemies of others. Better stick to topic and say if Zardaris action favoring mqm only is justified or are you condemned this decision and siding with PML(N), JUI (F), ML(Functional), ANP, PTI and most probably like minded PPP?
