Another shoe for Mush.

Another shoe for Mush.
Today another shoe was show thrown on Musharraf in London.
Shoe could not reach to him .
The person who threw shoe on Mush was shouting in favor of Dr Aafia.
Many more shoes are required for aides of Mush. Like Altaf, Ch Shujjat ,Ch Pervez Ellahi, M R, Mulla Diesel and civil and … personals .
Don’t forger IK was too one of them.

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

this is the sad state of the media in Pakistan, i went and popped down to the pavilion to see the speech and some man from the back of the hall tried to throw a shoe which mush didn't even notice, only people at the back of the hall saw it, 100's of supporters picked him up and beat him. the sad thing is that hundreds of stupid people will actually believe it.

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

believe what?

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

The people there must be waiting for a party after meeting.
They must be angry.

Yaar, yea woh shear nahi hay jo Raiwand kee jharyeon ko her subha taang utha ker scent-mark kerta hay phir khush ho jaata hay lakin jab Insaan say wasta perta hay (Jaisay year 2000 may hua) tou dum daba kay bhaag jaata hay. Yea woh shear nahi jo jab Pakistan aata hay tou Kaan pakar ker Saudi-confinement may bhej diya jata hay.

Yea woh shear hay jiss kay baazu maidaan-e-Jang may aur jiss ka dil maafi-namo per dastakht kertay waqt azmaye huay hain. Yea woh shear hay jo agar apna takht choor bhie day tou ussay 6 lac Pakistani fauji Salami daytay hain aur koyie ussay jahaan baitha hou hilanay kee koshish bhie nahi karta.

Do you know that Musharraf was/is the only person in Pakistan who left power on his own free will, addressed the nation that he is leaving power before leaving power, is the only person who received farewell Guards-of-Honour from a million armed forces after leaving power, is the only person who kept staying in his residence after leaving power, and is the only person who was/is receiving official protocol as well as official security after leaving power (from 3 sources, Pakistan army, Pakistan government, as well as any country he visits)?

Apart of Musharraf, it is unfortunate that till to date, no person in Pakistan ever left power on their own free will, as all tried to stick to power what-maybe, and thus they were either deposed (thrown out of office) or killed (assassinated). For instance, to get people out of power, one politician (Liaquat Ali Khan) and one army general (Zia-ul-Haq) were assassinated. Many politicians and two army generals (Ayub Khan and Yahya Khan) were deposed. Since they were deposed, none ever addressed the nation about them leaving power. None out of power were given respect, security, protocol, or guards-of-honour after leaving power. All who were deposed, they were thrown out of their official residence same day without protocol or security.

As for Musharraf, he addressed the nation to tell that he decided to leave power, stayed in his official residence (for months) even after leaving power and only left official residence when he decided, received farewell guards-of-honour after leaving power, and was/is receiving official protocol as well as official security after leaving power (Normally, Pakistani character is that anyone out of power is as good as Sh*t ... well, except Musharraf :)).

How surprising that even at the time he gave speech that he is leaving office, it was unexpected by many Pakistanis that he is leaving power, many did not even believed him and his speech, and many went sad that he has decided to leave power.

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

so musharraf is sher because he was given a guard of honour after the party he relied on for power was hammered, all four assemblies impeached him out of office and left himlittle option but to scram. anyone can make speeches after its clear that they are past their expiry date, and they can even drum up a smattering of support (see Hosni Mubarak). doesnt mean much.

but lets say all of what you say is great. what is the sher doing in London? he wants to be a politician and be a part of Pakistani politics. If he was running for mayor of London I’d understand rallies here. presumably he wants people to vote for him, they cant do that from London. Why is he there?

its pathetic.

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

The shoes showing and throwing reminds me a story, during ZAB era during his speech someone or some peoples showed him the SHOES and Bhutto turn out the action into a joke and he said Yes i know Jutte bhi mehnge ho gae hain, am right Pasha sahib??

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

Saleem's post and the sher aya sher aya slogans remind me of a Shafiq-ur-Rehman short story where someone is bragging about how he did in a fistfight. something along the lines of Pehle mei nai uska ghutna lei kar apne pait mei dei mara. Phir mai nai apna munh zor sai uske mukkay sai takra dia.

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

lol that make me a real laugh. good, well he is still quite better then others political goons. and if his party participate in next elllection he might be got few seats with compare to PTI one.

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

Brother, to lie is sin, so why you want to earn sin for which you would gain nothing, not even consolation prize, other than sin?

Well, I know that memory is short amongst Pakistanis, but fact is that, provincial assembly do not impeach President. Even National Assembly does not impeach President. Neither Senate impeach President. Actually a body consisting of Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assembly combined could only impeach Musharraf with 2/3 majority. But for people wanted impeachment needed time and required numbers (what they never had). Unfortunately, even if there was numbers, situation was that before impeachment, Musharraf could have dissolved the assemblies, so such impeachment was impractical for a President who wanted to stick with power.

Especially when no one can say that how many of PPP members would have abstained impeachment (PPP parliamentary leader Amin Fahim, and many other PPP parliamentarians, were openly against impeachment). Actually only party that would have voted for impeachment was PMLN, who had very few eligible votes for impeachment. Most FATA members were also against impeachment.

Well, Assemblies could have gone to Supreme Court for getting reinstated, still that would have taken time and even after that power of 58-2B was such that President could have again dissolved the assemblies.

So, only practical way to get rid of Musharraf wanting to not give up power was army revolt. I do not think that army would have revolted against Musharraf. That means, there was no real way to make Musharraf give up power.

Anyhow, as for election, even today PMLQ claims that they were made to lose rather than they lost the election. PMLQ also claims that if Musharraf wanted to stay President, then even after administration played role in making them lose election they would have fought for Musharraf. As for PPP, many pro-Musharraf vote fell to them because people were thinking that Musharraf wants PPP + PMLQ government, rather many claim that if BB had not died, government would have been of PPP + PMLQ.

As for votes in election, even though many PMLQ candidates contested election as independents, vote counts were:

Anti-Musharraf votes:

PMLN got around 6.7 million votes (that includes votes of JI, TI, and many other parties = rather all anti-Musharraf votes)

Votes that were pro-Musharraf rule or at least not anti-Musharraf rule:

PPP got around 10.5 million (many were pro-Musharraf votes … even Amin Fahim, leader of PPP, is considered as Pro-Musharraf).

ANP got around 1.1 million votes

JUI got around 0.5 million votes

Total ~ 12.1 million votes

Votes that were pro-Musharraf parties:

PMLQ got around 8.2 million votes.
MQM got around 2.6 million votges
PML (Pagara group) got around 1.5 million votes

Total ~ 12.3 million votes.

So, even though it seems so, you cannot say that people really rejected him.

^ Sa1eem bhai!!!!! kya haal hain?

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

Instead of engaging with your revisionism, I’ll just post from international newspapers of the time.

Quoting washington post:

It played a role in his resignation, as evidenced by his speech. That much is certain. Whether he had options, those are hypotheticals, we’re never going to agree on what could have happened, lets just focus on what happened.

Regarding elections. Quoting New York Times

Now lets come back to my original point. WHAT is the sher doing in London. If he is such a brave commando politician the whole world bows before and hes given protocol everywhere and he can live in presidential palace whenever he wants and army dances before him, why is he getting a bunch of people in london to call him sher and conducting rallies in closed rooms here? Go back to Pakistan if you want to be a part of Pakistani politics.

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

Alhamdulillah :) Aur, aap ka kiya haal hay? :)

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

Ravage: Going with Pakistani chipku character to their seats, most would have stuck with Presidential office against all odds, but with Musharraf there was good odds that impeachment would not succeed, still he resigned

As for what he is doing in London, I can only say that there is no advantage for him to move to Pakistan before election, so he is staying in west earning whatever he can from lectures while organising his party in Pakistan. That is obvious too, as present communication system has advanced so much that a person do not have to be on ground to be in touch with people.

Anyhow, Musharraf is doing much better than super Thugs of Pakistan, like Zardari and Nawaz who are in government still they use more times outside Pakistan (Zardari in Dubai and Nawaz in London).

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

I dont care what the odds were, that is not the discussion. Like I said, dictators can hang on, and its not remarkably unchikpku that he left after 10 years when all four provincial assemblies passed resolutions against him, his party conceded defeat, international backers backed out.

You say there is no advantage to move to Pakistan but see you mentioned it.. organizing his party in Pakistan. That requires fieldwork. Then there is the issue of speaking before audiences in Pakistan. These people in London arent going to vote for him? He needs to speak to rallies in Pakistan, why is he not there? Also, he has friends and family in Pakistan surely, why does he never even want to visit the country? He wants to be in politics, but doesnt even go for annual vacations to Pakistan? That is wrong... I have been living abroad for several years, I make a living and studied abroad. I go to Pakistan once a year atleast, I miss it so much. But since he flew away (with guard of honour ofcourse) he doesnt even make an annual trip! Yes give lectures, bismillah make money, but dont forget your homeland.. the millions of fans who would like to see him in person, not just over telephone or facebook pokes.

Come on sher Musharraf... pay your country a visit.

Re: Another shoe for Mush.

^^

Head of party organises first line, second line and Peripheral leaders, that can be done from anywhere in the world. No need to be in country. As for organising party within Pakistan, that gets organised by first line, second line and peripheral leaders. Party members also play their role. So, no need to be within Pakistan for that purpose.

As for today’s addressing the public, that can be (rather should be) done from far away too, staying out of sight, especially after advent of Kharjee parasites in Pakistan roaming madly and killing any sensible voice (only their sympathetic parties, like PMLN, JI, TI and JUP ... and those who can give them proper response with their guns like MQM, are safe from fitna of Kharjees).

How unfortunate that most ANP leaders and many PPP leaders (Zardari included) are scared to even come out in public because of these Kharjees, even at places they won their election. Thus, this out of sight speeches would keep going until time sensible Pakistanis also become mad and start doing the same with these Kharjee parasites so to cursh them and their fitna.
