What are you talking about? Dr. Qadeer is under arrest for selling stolen technology to Korea, Iran and Libya. According to Paki government he has disgraced Pakistan for getting millions of dollars by selling nuclear technology to black listed countries.
Isn't Dr. Dr. Pervez Hoodbhoy is a Parsi not muhajir migrated from India. As far I know, he was born in Karachi and his parents were original residents of Karachi.
The only respectable Pakistani scientist who got Noble Prize was Punjabi that is Dr. Abdus Salam. Though he was not given proper respect because of his faith, he should be recognized as great scientist deserve all respect.

I like Mushy boy but the problem is the sometimes he's pretty unrealistic. But I guess, he is the best bet. We dont want to have likes of Maulana Diesel to rule us directly (Military Mullah Alliance is okay for the time being).

Farid and spock, AQ Khan may have disgraced Pakistan, but he also did play a fundamental part in our nuclear program. His experience with metallurgy and centrifuge design was essential to get our nuclear program started. There is a publicity campaign to make his contributions appear useless, but that is not true.
Hoodbhoy is a Bohra muslim and I’m pretty sure his family migrated from India.
And no one denies the brilliance of Dr. Abdul Salam, but you didn’t even bother mentioning Dr. Salimuzzaman Siddiqui and Dr. Ata-ur-Rahman, two brilliant and respected minds of Pakistan. Not every brilliant person gets the noble prize.

I have some very direct dealing with him and i can tell you that he is not a very good person to do bzness with ... unfortunately i feel he his nice words and totally different from inside.. taking advantage where he knows it is not right... sorry to say he just deterioated my view of the president even more...

corruption.. first of all.. one man cannot change things over night.. it is the citizens responsibility too to standup and fight corruption.. have u eva checkd or asked ur parents how they got their income??? i mean these people who are runnin the country are not just ppl sent from the ground.. it is the very ppl livin inside the country.. stop sittin on ur asses and cmplainin.. changes start at home.. yes its not easy.. bt try little bit.. just like u cant change ur financial healt over night.. in the same way it cant happen for a country..
we are people who are always suspecting.. and we have lost soo much faith that we deny every person now.. yes i am not sayin hes doin a GREAT job.. bt atlest hes put the country in a more solid position as compared to wat ppl before him did..

He has the most corrupt ppl around him... i have my brother - in -law in textile sector.. and i can tell you inside news that pakistan is faring pretty badly in it... we r loosing market share and removal of quota system by WTO pushed us out of our prized production and manufacturing... This Musharraf and team has 6 yrs which is a reasonable time to implement any policy... US president gets 4 yrs to show the effect of his policies and he hasn;t manage to done anything constructive...
Trade deficiet has enlarged beyond the wildest imagination.. The real estate bzness is booming cuz president himself has lot of shares, plots and land in the market... Car manufacturing and that has nothing to do with the policies rather its the leasing which has made ppl buy things before they have the money...
The real question which we seriously ask during discussion is from where r we going to get the money... we don;t have any strong service sector.. ( i m from IT myself and knows the productivity in it). we don;t have any top notch manufacturing or industrial estate and the 9/11 money flow has really gone wasted... If u had put it in the right places with the righ mind and honesty it would have given a huge push to the entire nation and reduction of difference between poor and the rich... he wasted the biggest chance to propel the country in atleast from 3rd world country to 2nd world nation.
Unfortunately we have the biggest ever economic scandals in the history of nations from sugar crisis to the latest Steel Mill scandal.. and i m sure the number of scandal will be even bigger than the Zia + bibi + Nawaz Sherif whenever he will leave the office...

I don't thinks so. I am still believe that he is a parsi and resident of Karachi. Technically he is a Sindhi not a Muhajir migerated from India.

Maybe you should read the links next time you post them. The parsi reference is to Bapsi Sidhwa. Hoodhboy writes about Islam and has many Urdu works to his credit. He doesn't write in Sindhi, nor does he identify himself as Sindhi. I know he is a Bohra muslim. Even all the parsis I know do not say they are Sindhi. They identify themselves as gujrati or whatever language they speak.
Technically I am a Sindhi too, but I certainly do not support jeay sindh or ppp thugs.

Hodhboy sounds like a Parsi name to me.. Bohras dont have the name sounding Hodhboy, Lifeboy, etc. Parsis are very nice a community. After Punjabis, they are the best.. I would vote anyday for Punjabi-Parsi unity:hug:

o.k. then prove that he is Bohra. I have read his tons of artilces on the internet, never found that he belongs to Bohra group. Like Parsi, Bohra are also old residents of Karachi, to my knowledge they never migerated from India. Before partition Bohris and Parsis were living on both sides. They still live in India, never migerated. Both are minorities in Karachi and doing business since generation. They had no option but to cooperate with the terrorists since they have to live in Karachi. They have been forced to join MQM if they want to do business and live in Karachi. Confirm this from your father Altaf Hussain.
You can not be Sindhi if you support MQM or Altaf Hussain. If you are technically Sindhi and support Altaf Hussain, then you are morally dishonest and an high class opportunist because by hook or crook you want to grab all the goodies and change your loyalties any time where you can profit from it. "Sharam Tum Ko Magar Nahin Aati".
In the history of Pakistan, no bigger thugs than MQM were and will ever be found till Judgement Day.

When you have nothing to say, I think "silence is golden". Niether I am PPP nor JI. Read my previous posts. Wrong is wrong. If MQM terrorise people, extorting money, killing innocent people, admit it it is wrong. For that matter it is wrong for any one who does these kinds of criminal acts. You know lots of Muhajirs, Baluchis support PPP. Give a fair trial of elections and see where your MQM stands?
PPP murder of Bengalis? What kind of non sense remark is that? Are you talking about 2006 or 1971. Perhaps you were not born in 1971. There is very good thread on genocide of Bengalis. Like Muhajirs in West Pakistan, other communities also supported genocide of Bengalis by the military. PPP was not in power at that time. Beharis living with Bengalis since generations sided with West Pakistanis and army, they are still reaping what they sowed. Learn something from your parents or read some good book on breakup of Pakistan.

Is it not Agha Khani Khoja and Ismaili Shia of Bohra are two different communities? Agha khan Khoja accept Prince Karim Agha Khan as their Imam and Bohra accept Burhanuddin Rabbani as their spiritual leader. I don’t know whom are you fooling? I am afraid you know dick about any community in Pakistan and keep writing ignorant and misleading posts on this forum. Again Agha Khani Khojas are original resident of Karachi, they are not Muhajirs migrated from India. Baba-e-Qaum was also Agha Khani Khoja, was born in Jhirk Sindh before partition.

Agha Khanis and Bhoris are two different things/sects...saying somebody is a agha khani of bohra variety is akin to saying that somebody is a Pathan of Bengali variety...

quas, without bringing in the race factor, anyone who actually knows a thing or two about KRL and PAEC knows the real brains behind the project was Dr. Samar, but Qadeer was publicized more on newspapers etc, plus he had the whole 'Islamic Weapon' angle. I mean if you go ask a random uneducated Pakistani about this, I can gaurantee you he would think Qadeer did everything.
It was actually ironic that the KRL at first wasnt even notified when Nawaz went ahead with the decision to go ahead with the tests, only after a protest by Qadeer Nawaz agreed to make them part of the project.
P.S. I have met Dr. Samar twice, and went to pinstech for the physics talent competition in Pak, hes very impressive.

Abdul Qadeer loves publicity. I saw him once at a function in Islamabad when he came over spoke to kids- ppl were madly taking his autograph and he, apparently was enjoying it all for cheap publicity. Dr. Samar Mubarakmand, on the other hand, is a queit and impressive guy- like a real scientist he concentrates on his work and not on status etc.
