ICC clears Kamran Akmal for selection
Kamran Akmal has been told by the ICC that he is clear to seek Pakistan selection. Kamran, Pakistan’s first-choice wicketkeeper-batsman, has not played since the one-day series against England in September. He wasn’t selected for the current series against South Africa, ostensibly because he wasn’t fit when the squad was announced; he had undergone an appendicitis operation days before the announcement. But clouds of suspicion, the fall-out of the spot-fixing scandal, have swirled around his non-selection.

^^ The news piece cites Kamran Akmal and not ICC or PCB as the source of information.
So until the official ALL CLEAR ROSTER of probables is published we really can't say for sure if Kammy is cleared or not.
If he is then it is a big slap on GEO especially!!

No but PCB will and should explain in the list of probables when they announce it, if Kamran akmals name is there or otherwise...
So that's what I mean...there needs to be an official release of names with Kamran in it to show there is no objection...

Kamran isn't cleared as far as I think. ICC is playing games here because people thought PCB is getting told who to pick and who not to pick. I'm pretty sure no one from the trio or Kamran wil be picked for the final WC squad and PCB will say they made that decision on merit alone and it has nothing to do with the ICC and ICC will say we cleared Kamran but PCB didn't pick him at their own decision.

KARACHI: The conversations of former skipper Salman Butt and wicket keeper Kamran Akmal with Mazhar Majeed via SMS have been revealed.
Kamran Akmal has now also become the part of controversy after suspended trio -Salman Butt, Mohammed Amir and Mohammed Asif.
According to the details, Mazhar Majeed sent SMS to Salman Butt on three numbers. Those numbers were registered from England, Dubai and West Indies.
ICC Anti-corruption unit believes that the contact number registered from West Indies was provided to Salman Butt by team management, it is also learnt.
Mazhar Majeed in his first SMS asked Salman Butt if he talked with that person. Salman Butt replied “yes.”
Mazhar sent second SMS in which he asked what do you think about second thing, first in seventh and second in eighth and this will only be possible after scoring in first two overs without loosing any wicket.
Mazhar in his third SMS asked Salman Butt to confirm about seventh and eighth, one wicket each in both.
Afterwards, Mazhar sent SMS to the number of Kamran Akmal. Usage of that number has been confirmed by latter.
The exchange of SMS were allegedly took place before ICC World T20 match against South Africa.

I read somewhere that the Asian block asked ICC to ban Pakistan from cricket and it was Giles of England who opposed it and stopped it. So much for the Asian block.

India wants Pakistan to continue playing cricket come what may. Atleast the BCCI does. It is in BCCI's interest to have India-Pak cricket matches..

That is true. I read that too. Asian bloc wanted Pakistan banned until they got their house in order and it was Giles Clarke who stood up for Pakistan even after all the fuss Ejaz retarded Butt created for no reason about the English team losing on purpose.
