But I do feel that since our vital systems are still frail and ironically no organ has matched our system perfectly yet
Do you honestly believe existence of Musharraf is strengthening of Pakistan's survival chances? How? Any government institute(s) whose performance boosted during his era? If any, how does it help in strengthening of society/governance? He killed the very own institute called NAB which was his slogan by inducting corrupt element in his government.
are there any angels in our politics that he should have leveraged?
whatever happened to thousands of angel brigadiers who are running other civilian institutes/businesses? or is it that Musharraf doesn't trust them for these actions/jobs?
So these corrupt politicians were the only jokers who agreed with Musharraf's agenda? Doesn't that tell you something?
God bless President Musharaf. May Allah grant him long life and allow him to continue at the helm, and help Pakistan continue to grow economically.
Economic improvement will determine that fate of Pakistan. Not the bhagoray and looterays and sham democracy.
Remember when he can into power and saved Pakistan. Pakistan at the time only had $500m in its coffers. That is what BB and NS bought to country. A crisis and bankrupt state.
U have a point but Bangladesh had language riots even when Jinnah was alive, plus with geographic incongruity and totally incompetent one man show at the top meant Bangladesh would be separated sooner or later.
Things were comparatively calm though. I remember the serious riots were in 1952? which is 4 years after the passing of jinnah.

recall that govt was asked to hold elections..
in the first term when musharraf's hands were not tied and he was not made to work with the crooks that ppl wanted to vote into office, the country did better.
‘elections’??? oh, you mean ‘selections’, what success did he achieve with corrupt elements by his side? He could’ve easily brought in his own new parliament, I am pretty sure each of brigadier has atleast one son or one son in law who could’ve easily made it to parliament and Busharraf still could’ve run his show.
So country did better in 1st half? or 2nd half?? I thought economically all reports point to the 2nd half.
per pakistanis in pakistan the 1st term was the least corrupt regime compared to BB and Nwaz, the second term was still considered less corrupt than BB, Nawaz but more corrupt that teh first one.
and dont give the elections and selections song and dance, show me one time in recent past where there were clear elections (frfom independent observers perspective) and teh country was not divided into two.
