- Long recaps at the beginning
- Long precaps before the breaks
- Extended scenes and annoying background music
- Slow dialogue deliveries
- unnecessary scenes such as parking up into the drive way and walking into the house
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
I dont like this new concept of first the drama starts, and then after the first break the titelsong is played ![]()
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
I agree about the recaps at the start and before the breaks. Some absolutely a waste of time. Plus they give away too much of the story.
Also for me the shots of the cities. I really don't need to see buildings and people driving, busy roads, Dubai ka seaside etc. Focus on the story please.
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
^ or when they're sat next to the phone reading a book and you just know that the phone will ring and why do we need to see the outside of the house before each scene?

LOL so true!! it happens in EVERY serial I watch!! why?? Even Mehreen Jabbar does it. It is so weird!
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
the most annoying thing for me are the stretched out scenes
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
Example of a boring and extended re-cap:
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
^^ ok I watched 13 seconds of the above clip - pure torture~
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
bad acting ![]()
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
lol i totally agree!
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
OTT pan and zooms which involve dramatic close up shots of the people lasting more than a minute. Thats the only reason why i hate watching all indian dramas...i have not got the patience to sit and watch zoom ins of random people!!!
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
everything between the start and end credit

It's a way of transitioning between scenes and purely a stylistic thing. I personally like it.
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
^ don't see the style in showing the outside of the house a couple of times in each episode lol
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
The most Annoying thing is when the camera shows women’s hips, thigh, ass and nuts in a non sexy scene, especially in a sad scene. Even in Mahreen Jabbar’s drama daam in found two scenes. One when Sanam was waiting in a Bus stand and one boy comes and say bad words, she become angry and say you don’t have women at home, suddenly with the wind Sanam’s Kameez goes up fully from the front. They should retake it. The whole mood of the scene lost. It is acceptable if you want to show sex emotion but in a sad scene no!
The other scene Saman was sweeping her home and talking with her mother some very serious issues and the camera shows from down her ass. The whole rhythm of the scene lost.
The camera work, frame and scene should be in the same mood.

Example of a lengthy precap
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
^ when I started watching the above episode, for a second I thought "wait is this a repeat epi?" haha

I agree. I thought that was fairly pointless and out of place.
I don't remember the camera position of the other scene ;-)
Re: Annoying things about pakistani dramas
Another annoying thing is when they 'try' and use english words in the middle such as 'Faar Gaad Sake' and when they can't even pronounce the words properly
