Its a major problem with desis…in one go they’d ask about the family, date of birth (are they gonna send me a present??), history, ancestors, future plans (which even I am not sure about)…God knows what & heck I don’t even know them…& then they’d pity & give their unwanted advice & suggestions especially about marriage…urrrggghh 
I don’t like giving out such personal info to anyone let alone a total stranger…and I really don’t know how to be rude to them therefore I avoid them altogether whenever I see a desi.

lol, I am in the same boat. I had been away from the social gatherings for quite a bit and then when i started going out again to all the dawats and stuff, all the desis just had it assumed that I am married and raising kids..:S..imagine that..thats worst!

Experiencing the same . Heck people are so blunt over here . This is the first question they ask , and if you don’t have any proper answer then they think you are dysfunctional or something . Especially I hate all those married people . They just want whole world around them married and kickin’ . But no , people in Pakistan don’t really have to be so nosy and blunt . I miss uncle sam sometimes

2-Try to get them to say they are 'just satisfied'....make them fess up the real story and their problems being married.
3-Then say: Now' this' is the reason I am still not married!
