Re: Annoying error message
No, you’d have to get it from Sony. I got a set for my old Vaio when it crashed.
Check out this site for system recovery:

For drivers use this:

Re: Annoying error message

Re: Annoying error message
well menu [start button wala], desktop (even when there is no activity) , and at times just by clicking on an icon on desktop. if i had an XP CD i would have installed a fresh copy of OS. for now i can’t do much except try to fix the problem (which is highly unlikely). have already lost all the system restore points while trying to restore to a 2weeks old point even when there was more than 15GB of diskspace available. :halo: ![]()

Re: Annoying error message
Buy restore disk from sonyrecovery dot com . it is around 35 dollars or call sony to order one it might be cheaper. You can buy xp from ebay , amazon or yahoo but nothing is less than 99 dollars.
If you cannot do that then take two aspirin and call me in the morning.
Re: Annoying error message
Some of your dll or cmd files were infected with a virus, or messed up due to an adware or some installation you may have done.
best bet is to back up all your stuff, format the computer, re-install xp, get it from some friend or buy it if you will... then download the drivers off sony's website for the computer model you have.

Saieen dear, there's no choice but to reinstall. Joking aside get an XP license, backup all your date and reinstall the OS, and the drivers. Its just too much work trying to troubleshoot the various things going on with your lappy.
