Anniversaries

How do you celebrate your wedding anniversary?

We usually dress up and go for dinner. (boring)

People who aren’t married can share ideas. My one’s approaching in few weeks so probably I can steal some ideas from you guys.

Re: Anniversaries

**go out to a nice restaurant. or arrange a nice dinner at home.

fill the bathroom with loads of petals, candles (and keep chocolates on the side) and enjoy the night!**

Re: Anniversaries

The wife should prepare 2-3 husband's favorite dishes, dress up for him and give him a time of his life!

puts on flame suit

we decided early on in our marriage that we would not buy each other any gifts on such occasions, instead we will use that money to go away. Not always expensive holidays but just a few days break overseas

It's too cold here. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

That's for a petoo husband who's heart is in his stomach or something like that. lol

That's a good idea...I also believe that gifts should be given on birthdays only.

Re: Anniversaries

SHE forgets it and its happening from last 2/3 years… but then make it up…how? cant be posted here   . Kids up bringing is taking good out of her. I am so proud of her for taking good care of our kids !

In early days (for around 3 years after our marriage), I surprised her by 2-3 days out of town vacation. No specific place just out of town… 2/3 days that we had to do nothing but enjoy our moments. After those 3 years it was no more a surprise so we started celebrating it differently (dinner, drive, move etc)

Re: Anniversaries

I'll tell you an example about my parents. They take us all to the same restaurant from the past whatever years they have been married. We all have been going to the same restuarant from the past 21 years. Their anniversary coming up on 18th December and again we all will go to that restaurant.

not a bad idea ! ..same place ....so many memories attached to it ...

Re: Anniversaries

Yeh we have this same dish from so many years. It's our fav and we always discuss what happened when we came last year and so on haha

Re: Anniversaries

decent

That's awesome. may Allah keep you guys always happy.

Aisha

it sounds very touchy.....the idea of going to the same place every year for celebrating this important day is lovely.

Re: Anniversaries

Yeh my mom and dad really look forward to their anniversary hehe.

Re: Anniversaries

bundle up and take a walk hand and hand in a park

ice skating

volunteer at a soup kitcehn for 1 hour

go see a musical

go shopping and let him pick out an outfit that he likes for you

go skiing

rent a bicycle for two

Thats whatwe do! When we remember anyway. There were 2 years that we completely forgot our anniversary till a week or 2 later, how embrrassing lol!!! But we always so enjoy our fave restaurant with the family.

I like the idea of saving up for a little getaway. When my boyz get a bit older I'd really love to do that.

Re: Anniversaries

LOL at when we remember. Aww that's sweet, if you don't mind what is the name of the restaurant?

Re: Anniversaries

our first anniv we weren’t even in the same country

on the second, we were ni the same country but still nto together.

let’s hope in the third one we will at least be in teh same room :hehe:

Re: Anniversaries

depends how nice she is lol

Re: Anniversaries

lol, kind of embarrassing....but our favorite restaurant is Outback steakhouse! They ALWAYS make the most perfect steak, and I'm a real steak (smith n wollensky/sparks) person. Their servicce is always impeccable and they without fail make sure that the kids meals are served asap...they have never failed to make it the most pleasant, happy experience. The food is great, the service is even better and you cant even begin to compare the prices between their restaurant and Sparks...yet, even given the choice I'd go there first.

Cheesecake Factory is our Fav and we end up going there almost on each anniv

Re: Anniversaries

My husband loves the Pizza hut inside target.

hum simple laug hain :hehe:

Re: Anniversaries

Why is it embarrassing, I don't even know what Outback Steakhouse is but good for you lol. I do like steaks, have you tried filet mignon with mushroom sauce Mama?
