anklets.

foot accessories like anklets and toe rings are they haram.i am not talking about the type that makes sounds when you walk. It was just a single silver anklet with nothing hanging off of it that jiggled.more like a single chain .I’ve always admired looking at them on other people, but wearing them was a no no to my parents (dad particularly).. and then my mom in law:bummer:
So i’ve just learnt to live without the thought of ever wearing one .but still want to clear my concept ARE THEY REALLY HARAM??

Re: anklets.

I dont think they are haram in any sense ! even if they make sound when ya walk ! But As those big goongro kinda stuff has been associated to dancing gals or Noch gals therefore people from noble families dont like their gals wearing them ! Thats the only sound reason i can think of !

Re: anklets.

they are haram as long as they make any sound.

Re: anklets.

hi im new in this
i jus wanna say my nan doesnt let me wear 1 either because it is haraam

Re: anklets.

Any thing 2 back this claim ?

Re: anklets.

NO they are not haram. Ladies can wear them in ladies get together. Sound constraint is only so a non-mehram cannot hear them

Culturally, that piece of jewelry was used by women of certain trait in indo-pak. That is the reason, most of our elders don’t feel comfortable when their daughters want to wear them

Re: anklets.

Re: anklets.

y dont u guys get it in islam ur not allowed to wear anklets thats it
FULL STOP

Re: anklets.

Why dont you get it Mufti Aleesha. It is allowed.

With due respect, Islam does not follow your Nan. It follows Quran and Sunnat. Just becuase your nan said that does not mean, its shariah.

What is nan, btw. Nana or Nani?

Re: anklets.

DUH ITS NANI
well we both have different views on this subject
only i think it is haraam

Re: anklets.

Mind posting a hadees or ayat or fatwa which support your claim

Re: anklets.

Women should refrain from wearing such adornments which may attract the men's attention on the streets, like bangles, anklets, etc. that make noise and make known the presence of a women.

During Jahiliyyah, when women walked in the streets wearing anklets and no one could hear them, they would stamp their feet so that men could hear their anklets ringing. Allah forbade the believing women to do this.

By the same token, if there is any kind of adornment that is hidden, women are forbidden to make any movements that would reveal what is hidden. Allah says in the Qur'aan: "And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornments." [Soorah an-Nur (24): 31]
THERE U GO

Re: anklets.

Is not that what I said? That Ayaa was the one which supports my point, not yours

Wearing is not haraam. Making a sound by stamping your feet is haraam.

Re: anklets.

Anklets are highly exotic and sexy. Therefore, they are not haraam. Just like lipsticks and nipple piercings.

Re: anklets.

IF U SAY SO

Re: anklets.

Sheen, if you wear them for your hubby and in private, seriously.....its your right. Desi men love chicks who wears girly things and dress up etc. for their spouse...i mean. Generally, the ones who do a bit "nachrabaazi" they are more appreciated and dear to their husband.
