No, i think that would just reinforce the belief and mindset that weak are there for the taking.
Although, some people who did animal cruelty as a child grow up to be fine citizens, and infact advocate better treatment. But it’s a dangerous trend, and those who continually indulge in animal cruelty even as they grow a bit older (though still considered young) should be dealt with in the form of either the parent telling the child that it is wrong, or counseling, and so on…
In Pakistan we may see it as more prevalent because the methods are more crude perhaps, home made “tools”. In U.S. and other places people use BB GUN, and so on.
But it’s just not nice, or to be cheered on when someone has done it or is doing it. It’s something we should see as a sin and ask for forgiveness, because even the animals will be given justice on the Ultimate Day.
