Have you heard this If a black cat crosses your path, walk backwards ten steps and you will not have bad luck. :smack:

Re: Animal and birds in folklore

Re: Animal and birds in folklore

Another is "if one kills an owl on Dussera day, it is brings good to the family"

and this leads to widespread killing of owls :D

Re: Animal and birds in folklore

Thats interesting. Both owl and donkey are considered as stupid in east and wise in west :D

Re: Animal and birds in folklore

Then westerns might be right as we believe more in culture than in science, and even in past they have proved themselves fine.

Owl is considered as transportation of Laxmiji, and killing her means killing the transportation and hence movement of money out of house :D

Re: Animal and birds in folklore

No matter which animal you chose, if you stuck up in Karachi's traffic jam, your wish would come true :p

Re: Animal and birds in folklore

If the traffic there is anything like it is in Dilli or Bangalore, I understand perfectly hahaha. There, you need to have a license to cross the street it's so stupid the way people break the (non existent) traffic rules.
