Apparently, S Rajesh (Cricinfo statistician) is a racist for not considering matches involving Bangladesh or Zimbabwe when determining the Best Bowler in the Death Overs. Furious Bongalis are letting their displeasure known in no small measure :
Cricinfo is also a racist website because it did not do a live ball-by-ball coverage of the “historical” Bangladesh VS NZ warm up match:
From a leading BD Newspaper : http://www.thedailystar.net/2007/03/08/d70308040532.htm
and
Finally, ICC is a worthless organization because it already gave the likely Super 8 lineup in its WC Schedule on its website(which of course did not include BD).
Re: Angry Bongalis !!
damn and i thought they must be celebrating instead of whining
its not like they did ball to ball coverage of any match, except for India's match because we all know cricinfo is more/less Indian based but that doesnt mean it is racist lol
and maybe he did this since the minnows are unable to last 50 overs most of the times :P
and its not like the bangladeshis have enough matches under their belts against test playing nations to make that statistic even remotely accurate, most of their matches are probably played against minnows like zimbabwe, kenya, scotland whatever
Re: Angry Bongalis !!
Too many people seem to be accusing Cricinfo of bias towards India.
1 in 5 people in the world is an Indian. I would guess that 8 out of 10 Cricket fans in the World are Indians. So what do you expect Cricket websites to do. The same thing any business would do if 80% of their customers fit a particular profile. Even so, Cricinfo is much more balanced than it ought to be from a commercial perspective.
This goes out to the Bongalis and also to my Pak friends here : If you want to have an unbiased/impartial (even if only 'perceived') coverage of your team - create your own website (by Pakistanis and for Pakistanis) or learn to give credit where due.
Re: Angry Bongalis !!
^oh go aif yourself, dude.

Some1 i have been to a bangali cricket forum since last few days and every day there will be a new thread bashing cricinfo , which turn out to be a india bashing thread.
They want recognition loads of article on there cricketers. These bongali fans are too much too handle, there are perfect** PITA.**
Re: Angry Bongalis !!
*While the Tigers were picking up wickets and hitting sixes in Barbados, millions of fans all across the globe were sweating over their favourite team’s whereabouts on Tuesday night. *
See the arrogance of Bengoli Cats ![]()
Re: Angry Bongalis !!

It is biased towards India but it is understandable as well. You are spot on that 8 in 10 cricket fans are Indians and cricinfo is not there doing social services. They have to be biased towards India to get the maximum exposure for their sponsors. So while Cricinfo is biased, from a business stand point it makes sense for them to be biased.
The Bagalis can keep whinning but while they are *****ing about mistakes and infrequent updates of their game spare a thought for us as well. The coverage of Pakistan Vs Ireland match was the same as well. It had irregular updates and at times wrong information. Yet, we somehow or the other managed without making too much fuss. I doubt you'll find a Pakistani paper whinning about the coverage of the warm up game.

For all cricinfo bashers...
*Cricinfo.com users come from these countries: *
India28.8%
USA 14.7%
UK 7.0%
PAK 5.8%
UAE 5.7%
No one can blame them even if they give more importance to India. It's all about money
Re: Angry Bongalis !!

After visiting this site .... I really want to say this Khelkhilari is the only well maintained and organised cricket discussion forum.
Re: Angry Bongalis !!

Re: Angry Bongalis !!

Re: Angry Bongalis !!
Perhaps, more interestingly. The two Dravidians behind the world cup trophy, look like true Bharatis. Probably the "Northern" type :D
Re: Angry Bongalis !!
…so finally, at least one guy managed to extract some pleasure through “western countries scholarly” knowledge of Aryan-Dravidian theory:hoonh:

AND how many of those 8 have internet access? I think when it comes to reading on cricinfo, India is below par to Pakistanis. BBC cricket web site has relaized this and you would see a story or article on pakistani cricket almost daily.
